Project #99: Strike the Blood Part 2

Hello and welcome to Project Nitsuj. It’s time for us to return to our lighthearted vampire/comedy/action/harem/romance/echhi anime and see what other stories our characters get into. Up to this point the anime has been pretty mediocre story and character wise so here’s hoping that the second half delivers on giving us a fantastic anime. Let’s see what’s next for Kojou and his on-growing harem and take a look at the second half of Strike the Blood.

Opening and Ending Theme

As with all second halves of an anime we get a new opening and ending theme. The new opening is “Fight 4 Real” by ALTIMA and I have to admit I like this song a lot more than the first opening. The instrumental is good, I like the guitar solo at the beginning and drums are great throughout the song. The singer this time has a lot more emotion and range than the previous singer and I like how this theme is a little more darker than the first opening but at the end gives off the feeling of never giving up and to keep pressing on no matter what. The ending this time around is “Signal” by Kanon Wakeshima. Much like the first ending we get a slow rock song focusing on Yukina and how she really feels about Kojou. Once again the instrumental is great here, that cello at the beginning of the song is beautiful and is my favorite part of the song. I like how the song is soft and sweet for the first half and then quickly becomes a slow rock song catching you off guard but still being enjoyable to listen to. It’s a tough choice but if I to choose which ending I think is the best I would say the first one. It has the better overall instrumental and I like the singer more.

Episodes 13-15

In episode 13 Kojou’s old childhood friend Yuuma a tomboyish looking girl who obviously has a crush on Kojou (it’s a childhood friend what did you expect? If she didn’t have a crush on him her character would be totally pointless) comes to town to visit him for the Halloween Festival. Around the time of her arrival strange things start to happen. First off, witch criminals have snuck into the city (they’ve come for you my pretty). Second, Natsuki goes missing and assigns Astarte to guard Kanon should her disappearance occur. Third, space distortions start happening all over the island and lead people to random locations such as Sayaka and La Folia walking through doors and being sent to different locations on the island when Sayaka is trying to escort La Folia home and Kojou walking into the wrong bathroom to take a bath. Finally, Yuuma takes the initiative with Kojou and kisses him (I like this girl) causing him to pass out (so weak) only to wake up the next morning and see that he’s in Yuuma’s body (I fail to see what the problem is).

Not a whole lot happens in episode 14. We find out that Yuuma’s a witch (yeah I know big shocker right? Here’s another shocker, the Nostalgia Critic doesn’t like Batman and Robin) working with the witch criminals and she stole Kojou’s body to use it to perform a spell which will allow her to free her mother who is locked up in prison. This means that Kojou is now in the body of Yuuma resulting in funny bits. Kojou and Yukina try to reach her but the space distortion keeps interfering. Not knowing what to do they receive an app from Asagi that acts as a GPS for the space distortion (not gonna lie I kinda want that app) and guides them safely to where Yuuma is (flash her with her body. I would say pour water on her but she’s in the body of a vampire. Oh wait, he’s Japanese so yeah it’ll work pour water on her but go with the flashing plan first). We also get an implied yuri scene courtesy of Sayaka and La Folia (La Folia is quickly becoming the best girl).

Shit goes down in episode 15. We find out that Yuuma was born into a test tube by her mother and programmed to become a witch so that one day she could free her from prison (so she basically pulled a FF13 on her daughter). In fact, we’re told the original plan was for Yuuma to sacrifice 100,000 people on the island to break the barrier on the prison (stop stealing ideas from bad games and great animes) but when she found out that Kojou was the Fourth Progenitor the plan was changed so that she would use his body and his familiars to break the barrier (so because of him 100,000 people are safe and get to live but because of him a witch is going to use his body to release her dangerous mother from prison and kill God knows how many people. Anybody else feel that this plan is the epitome of breaking even?). With the help of Kojou’s familiar Yuuma is able to break the barrier surrounding the prison and enter it. Kojou and Yukina try to follow her but are stopped by the two fugitive witches only to have Sayaka and La Folia come in to fight them and of course La Folia is heartbroken to see Kojou in the body of female because now she can’t have an heir to the throne (and with that one line La Folia has become my favorite girl in the harem. At first it was Asagi than it was Yukina than it was Sayaka than it was back to Asagi than it was La Folia than it was Yuuma and now it is officially La Folia and I don’t see it leaving anytime soon). As you might of guess Sayaka and La Folia figure out that the familiar the witches use is a giant forest they destroyed in the past and turned it into a tentacle monster (well I think I know what kind of sex play these witches are into), with this information they’re able to destroy it with their magic and render the witches powerless allowing them to get captured. Back on Kojou and Yukina’s side of the story they enter the prison only to find Natsuki unconscious and sitting in a chair (the best thing about all of this is she can’t say no). It turns out that Natsuki is the warden of the magic based version of Alcatraz and is the living key to opening up all the cells, you just have to kill her (easier said than done). Yuuma tries to kill her but Yukina keeps getting in her way. Yukina attempts to use her spear on Yuuma in the hopes that it’ll return Kojou back to his body but she keeps hesitating because she’s afraid she’ll actually kill Kojou and since she obviously loves him it’s natural for her to hesitate (he’s a vampire, just give him your blood and he’ll live). Kojou assures Yukina he won’t die and with their combine power Yukina is able to stab Yuuma which allows Kojou to return to his body (and with that Kojou’s road on becoming a harem king is restored. Although a lesbian harem queen would be pretty hot). With her plan failing and Natsuki regaining consciousness Yuuma decides to throw in the towel and give up on her plans to free her mother because she now realizes she has Kojou in her life to give her purpose and meaning. So everything ends well right? Wrong. After the credits Yuuma’s mom attacks using Yuuma’s own familiar and stabs Yuuma in the chest along with Natsuki possibly killing both of them (Yuuma’s mom. The fuck?).

Episodes 16-19

There’s a whole lot going on but not a whole lot happening in episode 16. First off Yuuma’s mother Aya has escaped prison and took back her familiar she gave to Yuuma severely hurting Yuuma and almost killing her (wow, she has got to be the worse anime mom I’ve ever seen. Even Medusa from Soul Eater would be like: “Lady you’re a bitch”). Aya also frees a few of the inmates but we see the prison barrier set on them is still active which means Natsuki is still alive somewhere in the city however thanks to Aya, Natsuki’s powers are sealed along with her memories (great, high school magic teacher who has the body of a little girl, has lost her memories and is totally defenseless. This is almost every lolicon’s dream come to life and I can’t even call the cops because Natsuki is of legal age). Sayaka shows up and saves Kojou and Yukina from the prisoners and in order to give Yuuma proper treatment they go to see Kojou’s mother Minori who is the head doctor of this corporation and is a pervert who likes cute girls (like mother like son). Once there Kojou tries to treat the wound he got from Yukina’s spear but faints for some reason. While all of this is going on Asagi runs into a little girl she names Sana who thinks Asagi is her mother, looks like Natsuki, and has no memories (geez I wonder who this little girl is? Scenes). Also, we get to meet the 12th familiar of Kojou who is his sister (so Nagisa is a familiar? This needs to be explained).

Not a whole lot happens in episode 17. We find out that the reason Kojou passed out last episode is because he was hungry (meaning the ending from the last episode was totally pointless). Kojou and the gang find out that Asagi is with Natsuki and try to get back into the city to meet and save her from the escaped criminals who are trying to kill Natsuki which will destroy the prison system allowing them to go crazy on the island. So the majority of the episode is Asagi and Natsuki running away from evil fire Ghandi (yeah I prefer the one who talked about peace too) where Asagi shows her worth in the series by outsmarting him at each turn and take control of the islands security center where they beat the evil Ghandi and send him back to prison (thank you come again). Once he’s defeated another escapee shows up and uses her whip to control the guards cornering Asagi and Natsuki until Dimitrie shows up happy that all these prisoners have escaped because it gives him something to do and he just enjoys killing and hurting people (he’s like a water-downed version of Alucard from Hellsing Ultimate). Dimitrie overpowers whip lady and let’s his snake familiars have their way with her (snake familiars: Alright time for some snake bondage play. We’ll have to tweet about this later and tell LoachxSenranKagura and SnakexSenranKagura). Kojou shows up on a bike (our hero everybody, the most dangerous vampire in the world with unimaginable powers arriving on a bike he stole from Paper Boy) stopping Dimitrie from killing her and he decides to let them hideout on his boat. While that’s going on Aya (whose looks just like a child. It’s the author into loli looking girls or something?) is busy creating this dangerous grimoire known as the Dark Oath Grimoire she recreated from Natsuki’s memories and using Kojou’s school as a place to draw the necessary runes for the grimoire (so I guess they’ll be no school Monday right?). She’s also approached by this escapee named Meiga a failed attack mage who used to work for the Lion King Organization and is interested in the grimoire.

Not much happens in episode 18. We see that Dimitrie has servants who just like him also like to play for the other team (man this anime sure doesn’t play favorites when it comes to sexual preferences does it? Just add in a Hideyoshi gender and this anime will be complete) and also has princesses from surrounding countries from his home serving him who want to get revenge on the countries who sold them out by getting down and dirty with Kojou and having his babies. Asagi and Natsuki come in where Asagi ask Kojou straight up if he’s into guys (scene here: //youtu.be/pmF2C_eVQJ8, urgh man not in the water that’s just nasty). Natsuki drinks the blood (eww) and her body begins to do a memory backup on herself restoring her memories which will take about 2 hours (what is she a Dell computer or something? Scene here: //youtu.be/6SmWRoXdi6M, don’t give up kyun) but that’s not gonna be enough time since Aya’s Dark Oath Grimoire is spreading across the island stopping magic all together and if it continues it could destroy the island and since the island is man-made the only thing keeping it stable is magic (again, probably should have thought about this a little more when building the island). More inmates show up trying to kill Natsuki but Dimitrie and Sayaka are there to beat them and send them back to prison. Kojou, Asagi, and Natsuki leave the boat where he decides it’s time to go face Aya but she shows up herself attacking the gang and capturing Natsuki (loli characters need to stick together) and Yukina who can still use magic despite the fact that the Dark Oath Grimoire is stopping all magic.

In episode 19 because of no more magic on the island Kojou can’t heal the wound in his chest causeed by Yukina’s spear a few episodes back and starts to succumb to them (killed by the weapon that was meant to protect them. Ironic). Yuuma gives Kojou some of her blood and since she carries the DNA of Aya her magic is still working and her blood awakens the vampire side inside Kojou and he attacks her (right in front of Sayaka or Harem member number 3 as some folks like to call her). But her blood isn’t enough and he attacks Sayaka drinking her blood (2 girls in one night. I like his style). He summons his new familiar which has the power to create mist which makes part of the island disappear (I don’t get either but it’s stopping Aya’s plans). We then go to Aya and Yukina at the school where we find out that the Dark Oath Grimoire has the power to turn the world into whatever the caster wants it to be (wish I knew that spell, I could turn the entire world into an anime world. Imagine different color hair, fun day-to-day situations, supernatural and scientific possibilities, and girls with bodies that wouldn’t seem possible. Such fun times). Kojou frees Yukina and Natsuki and they begin to fight Aya where she entangles Yukina in tentacles (insert hentai joke) but gets saved by Natsuki who has regained her memories temporarily thanks to drinking Kojou’s blood. She steals back her memories from Aya (thanks for memories even if they weren’t so great), frees the knight familiar from Aya and gives it back to Yuuma saving her life, and Kojou and Yukina defeat Aya once and for all. As for Meiga he steals a staff that’s similar to Yukina’s, breaks his prison bracelets, and escapes into the night. We end the episode with Yuuma leaving for questioning but not before giving Kojou a goodbye kiss under the fireworks making Yukina jealous and confessing.

Episodes 20-24

Episode 20 is kinda hard to describe. Yukina, Nagisa, and Kanase are getting ready for a training camp trip and the good news for Yukina is that she’s been relieve of her duty as observer over Kojou for the time being while her weapon goes in for maintenance (it’s like my car. High performance but when it’s time for service it kills me in the wallet). While the girls are shopping and having Kojou carry their stuff (whipped) he gets attacked by a guy name Kou an alchemist who wants to get his hands on Kanase (okay dude you’re gonna have to wait at least two more years to touch that. Until than go transmutate a soul into a suit of armor) but Kojou and Yukina take him on and force him to retreat. We find out later that Kou was the apprentice of this powerful alchemist known as Nina Adelard who achieved immortality and now he wants his master’s power so that he too can become immortal. He arrives at the burned down monastery behind the park (where Kanase was taking care of cats) and uses some orb on some stone wall which actually holds the blood of Nina as well as her spirit known to the world as the Wiseman’s blood. While Kojou and Yukina go to the Lion King Organization’s island branch to get Yukina’s weapon maintenance on, and Asagi goes by the monastery to look for her lost earrings she lost when Kojou and her were trying to investigate the monastery earlier but got stopped by Natsuki. She sees the Wiseman’s blood and Kou fight destroying the monastery (and for some reason the blood is clear and can be seen through. Odd, I always thought blood was thick red) and when the blood sees Asagi it attacks and kills her (no harem member number 2! Don’t die on us! Quick Kojou use your vampire powers and turn her into a vampire or something).

In episode 21 Kojou and Yukina reach the destroyed monastery (holy sacrilege) and see the dead body of Asagi where we see Kojou’s rage and he attacks Kou destroying him (revenge. Is. A bitch). After destroying him we see that Asagi is still alive and alright (she’s stronger than she looks). Kojou takes her back to his place to spend the night (alright Kojou. I thought you were gonna wait 2 years for Yukina but Asagi is a nice choice as well) and we see that the spirit of Nina Adelard is now inside the body of Asagi and reveals that Kou is still alive. Not wanting to spoil the school trip for Yukina, Kojou keeps this discovery a secret from her allowing her to go on the school trip tomorrow (she will kill him once she finds out the truth). Kou also gets into a fight with Natsuki and Astarte. The next day comes for the school trip where Nagisa and Yukina leave leaving Kojou alone with a naked Asagi who regains control of her body and starts panicking (that’s nothing, you should of seen what Seras did to me a while back when she thought I slept with her. *Flashback. Seras wakes up in Nitsuj’s bed half naked and Nitsuj walks in* (Nitsuj): Hey there sunshine. How’d you sleep last- (Seras): NOO~! No! No! No! NOO~! *Seras begins to pummel Nitsuj with her fist while crying a little* How could I have left my guard down! Now I can never get married! (Nitsuj): Please show mercy. I did nothing. You were working late last night and fell asleep. I couldn’t wake you so I let you sleep in my bed while I slept on the couch. *Mira comes in* (Mira): Master speaks the truth *end flashback*). The island’s police force tries to capture Wiseman’s blood and at first it looks like they actually succeed (well I’ll be the monkey’s uncle and the pig’s cousin, a police force that actually earns their paychecks) but Kou shows up and unfreezes Wiseman’s Blood and the police begin firing bullets at it (it’s a living liquid you morons bullets do nothing to liquid) where it absorbs the metal from the bullets and fires a laser pretty much destroying the harbor. The blood then crawls into the sea and makes its way to the boat carrying Yukina and her classmates.

At the beginning of episode 22 Kojou and Nina exploring the wreckage left by Wiseman’s blood where Nina absorbs enough of Wiseman’s remaining blood to create her own body in the form of Asagi who looks as if she’s got a tan and plastic surgery on her breast (she looks hotter now). Natsuki comes in (where does she keep coming from?) and tells them that the blood is making it’s way to Kanase and Yukina’s ship (dude I just got done explaining this you have to wait 2 more years to touch them). Kojou realizes he has to go save them (obviously what else are you gonna do) and Natsuki takes him to a base owned by La Folia where Kojou gets Yukina’s weapon back from her master and gets loaded up into a prototype aircraft/missile (quite the odd combination but I’m game for it) and shot towards the ship. On the ship Kou has arrived to capture Kanase because he wants to use her as a medium to regain his human body back (why would he wanna do that he’s like the T-1000 he’s indestructible) but Yukina keeps getting in the way (cockblocker). After finally getting the girls cornered Kanase begins to remember that Kou was the one who attacked the monastery 5 years ago when she used to live there and she also reveals that Kou was never human to begin with he was just a homunculus creative by Wiseman to carry out the mission of bringing Wiseman back. Kojou finally reaches the ship (did nobody hear the missile crash on the side of the goddamn ship?) along with Nina (hey Yukina meet the new harem member. Just think of her as Asagi’s older twin sister. See what happens when you leave Kojou alone for one day?). Wiseman shows up and uses the metal within the seawater to construct himself a new body made to look like gold (by God it’s the shiny Wiseman. Quick somebody throw me a pokeball). He comes to life and reveals that his plan is to unite with the world to form the perfect life form which he believes is himself (wow he’s just as ego driven as that one guy from Star Trek. What was his name again, //youtu.be/SSK00ihIMm8?t=4s). He tries to destroy the ship but Kojou uses his familiar to turn the ship into mist saving everyone on it and Nina uses the blood from her body to protect Yukina and Kanase. As for Kojou because he used his powers to protect the ship he couldn’t protect himself and thus gets turned into a metal sculpture (I like to call it Forever Virgin Vampire) and even though he’s immortal unless he’s killed he’s stuck like that forever (WISEMAAAAAAN~). Without knowing how to save him Nagisa comes out of nowhere with a whole new personality and kisses Kojou on the lips (lady that’s your brother) and awakens a new familiar in Kojou but the familiar has yet to acknowledge Kojou as its master (what more does the guy need to do? He pretty much has a harem, has sucked the blood of 3 or 4 different girls, has 2 gay admirers, and a sister with a multiple personality disorder who probably wants him too. What, does he has to get an A in English or something?). Yukina also kisses him (didn’t want to be upstage) which frees Kojou from his metal prison where he unleashes his vampire side and gives her a deep kiss and sucks her blood (yeah she’s spunky, she wanted this to happen). With this erotic display the familiar sees Kojou as a worthy master and Kojou uses this familiars new power which is time control apparently returning Wiseman back to nothing. As for Kou, Yukina destroys him. Once again the day was saved by a high school boy and a middle school girl and the field trip gets canceled due to Wiseman freezing the ocean (WISEMAAAAAAAAN~).

We start episode 23 with Yukina having a bad dream about being separated from Kojou and wondering what it means (it means you want him to do more than just suck your blood). At the school more strange things happen. First off a mysterious figure appears in front of Yukina while she’s changing in the girl’s locker room (and I gotta say she really does favor underwear with unique designs) and gets knocked out by said mysterious figure who looks like her (//youtu.be/0yK4lxBarpE). The lookalike goes to the school looking like Yukina and acting even stranger than Yukina such as calling Kojou Kojou-kun, calling Nagisa auntie, Asagi Doc (//youtu.be/pwLn_His9Yw?t=2s), and she even talks down to Natsuki (oh no she didn’t). Natsuki senses something is up and grabs the lookalike’s breast (fire her, that’s sexual harassment) but backs off giving the look alike a chance to runaway because she gets a nosebleed from all the excitement going on. Kojou goes to check on her but Yukina shows up ready to fight her when all of a sudden a black dragon shows up (it’s Maleficent from Sleepy Beauty) and attacks the three stabbing the Yukina look alike through the chest, injuring Kojou, and even breaking Yukina’s spear (hey! The warranty on that spear just expired yesterday). When all seems lost the Yukina look alike gets back up and pulls out a staff similar to Yukina’s (only golden) and fights off the dragon. Also her wound has healed up entirely (if you haven’t figure who she is then there’s something seriously wrong with you). Natsuki comes in and tells Kojou that she’s going to take care of the lookalike (you just want her because she has nice breast) while he looks after Yukina who is sad that she couldn’t do anything to protect herself or Kojou from the dragon and getting her spear destroyed. We end the episode with Yukina going back to her apartment and receiving a letter saying she’s been terminated from her observer job and is to return to the Lion King Organization.

In the final episode we start off by finding out that the dragon is a manmade beast that crosses time, distorts space, and consumes dragon veins which are responsible for keeping the island afloat and if it isn’t stopped soon it’ll absorb the island’s dragon veins and sink the island into the ocean. Back on Kojou and Yukina’s part Sayaka tells them about the dragon and Yukina breaks the news to everyone that she’s been removed from her observer duty and will be leaving soon. She walks away leaving Kojou alone with Sayaka where he tells her it’s probably for the best because he’s always putting her life in danger and the further she is away from him the better off she is (smack him. Smack him now please). Sayaka smacks him (thank you) and tells him to stop being a wimp and go after her which he does but along the way the dragon comes back again and starts causing havoc (damnit man this is the worst possible time). Yukina goes to the airport to wait on her flight when all of a sudden the lookalike appears before her asking Yukina what she really wants to do as a woman (get pregnant by Kojou) to which she says she wants to stay by Kojou’s side now and forever. After hearing this the lookalike gives her a new spear saying the reason her old spear got destroyed was because it couldn’t handle Yukina’s powers anymore since she’s gotten stronger since coming to the island (well yeah getting bit by a vampire multiple times will do that to a girl). Back on Kojou’s side he faces the dragon trying to kill it but the dragon keeps getting back up because it keeps absorbing magic from Kojou’s familiars (of course it does). The dragon eventually captures one of Kojou’s familiars and absorbs its magic hurting Kojou a lot and causing him to collapse (you had worse done to you get up) and Dimitrie shows up (would you leave the island already man, seriously you do nothing all day except sit on a boat and talk about how much you wanna bang Kojou) ready to face the beast but before he can attack Yukina and the lookalike show up to stop him. With Yukina reunited with Kojou she allows Kojou to suck on her blood to regain his power and they combine their strength with the lookalike to defeat the dragon once and for all (well. . .that was easy). With the dragon defeated the lookalike returns to her own time (which is the future) and drops the bomb saying that Yukina is her mother (well duh). Also, Yukina’s return order wasn’t a return order at all. It was just telling her to return for a medical check-up which will take 3 days (wow Yukina, you failed).

Final Thoughts

So that was Strike the Blood and for the most part it’s pretty meh. While it’s not entirely a bad anime it’s an anime that has faults and doesn’t add anything new to the genre. It never takes any risk or tries to introduce something new, it pretty much follows the basics of an action harem anime and for a series that has an all-powerful vampire as its main protagonist that’s pretty bad. Kojou is pretty much your basic harem male character, he’s dense about the girls’ feeling around him, he’s a nice guy who’ll protect his friends and people he cares about, and can be somewhat wimpy. The one thing I will say I like about him is that he knows and understands the responsibilities of his powers. He knows he can’t impose his will on others and doesn’t try to do that, instead he uses his powers to protect the island rather than control it but I do wish his personality was better. I was hoping he be a little more laid-back, cool, and confident like a normal vampire who had a good sense of right and wrong, always did the right thing in the end, and was able to knock the girls off their game a couple of times. He could still have his wimpy moments but in the end he would always remain cool and handle the situation accordingly. The girls are also basic archetypes you see in harem animes though I think we have one too many tsunderes in this harem. In the end Kojou’s choice will obviously be either Yukina or Asagi which aren’t bad choices as both of these girls really do like him and care for him a lot though I wish Kojou would let Asagi in on his secret, I’m actually shocked she hasn’t figured it out already. Storywise the anime is mediocre with each arc not really being all that engaging and just serves as a way for Kojou to get a new harem member and unlock a new familiar. The only arc I can say I really enjoyed was Yuuma and Aya’s arc as it had a lot of twist and turns, good fights, funny moments, and the introduction to some interesting side characters. Other than those two arcs the rest of the arcs are mediocre and the arcs after Aya’s arc is where the anime slowly starts to go downhill and lose your interest. Another problem with the story is that we really have no idea where it’s going nor do they give us any signs or hints on where the story is going. It’s just one arc after another building up to nothing. Another problem I have with this series is that it doesn’t do a good job explaining situations, people, or information all that well such as talking about the other progenitors, explaining why these guys are so powerful and important and how Kojou got his powers in the first place? What’s the deal with Nagisa is she really Kojou’s sister or just a familiar sent to look after him. Why does the Lion King Organization think Kojou’s gonna start a war when it’s just as likely the other progenitors could start a war as well and what’s Meiga up to, he shows up and leaves never to be seen again?

As far as animation goes the animation is pretty good, it’s standard animation although I will say I did like the bright and vivid animation used for the familiars. Actions scenes were decent, they weren’t excellent or mind-blowing but did show how each character fought and displayed their strengths and weaknesses well. I would have liked for some of them to last a bit longer instead of the villain of each arc getting defeated after one powerful hit. Music was mediocre, it didn’t really stand out to me all that much except for the action scenes and a few quiet and slow scenes. Now the one thing I can say this anime does good is it does have a lot of good comedy and fanservice moments. They have a lot of moments that make you laugh and well executed fanservice scenes that are funny as well, timed right, and don’t go to overboard with them. They don’t keep constantly throwing it in our face, they put it in during the appropriate time and it’s actually good fanservice that I enjoyed.

Final Score

The final score for Strike the Blood is a 5.5/10. In the end this is a mediocre anime that made a lot of faults and didn’t take the chance to add or bring anything new to the vampire genre or harem genre for that matter. It choose to play it safe and just gives us a basic harem anime mixed in with action and the supernatural. I’ve heard that a second season is being planned for this series and while I’m not against it I’m also not expecting much from it. Is this a bad anime? No, but it’s also not anime I would recommend to a friend or first-timer of anime. If you wanna watch this anime don’t let me or anybody else stop you but don’t expect to be amazed or all that interested in the story or characters. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you next time on Project Nitsuj’s 100th episode special.
