The Top 11 Summer Anime 2024

Hello everyone. Justin here and welcome to the Otaku Mind where today we’re taking a look at the summer anime of 2024. Summer is finally in full swing which means new anime is around the corner. Nothing beats chilling by the pool and watching some anime. The spring anime lineup was good with shows like Demon Slayer, MHA, Kaiju No.8, Konosuba, and Viral Hit leading the season and being good watches. We also can’t forget Mushoku. So how does the summer look for us? Well join me as I count down the 11 anime I’m looking forward to watching this summer.

#11. The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses Season 2

The romcom harem managed to earn some fans after the first season. With most of the girls coming out and admitting their feelings for the MC it’s going to be interesting to see where the relationships will go from here and what challenges the café will be facing next.

#10. Shy S2

An interesting anime that shines a more realistic light on superheroes in modern Japan. Even though the anime lost momentum near the end of the season, I still found this series enjoyable and excited to see Shy continue to grow as a hero and face some new villains.

#9. Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc

Better known as Ultimate Muscle here in the west, this anime serves as a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the series. Being a fan of wrestling I enjoyed the dubbed version of the series and I’m excited to see it again.

#8. Failure Frame: I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything With Low-Level Spells

An isekai series where the MC and his class get transported to another world to battle evil. Everyone gets a top-tier ability by the goddess except for the MC. Angered by this, the goddess throws the MC into a dungeon hoping he’ll die, but he discovers that his ability is dangerous and OP. The goddess dun fucked up.

#7. Plus Size Elf

Do you like elves? Do you like a little pounds on your women? Do you enjoy ecchi? This anime is for you.

#6. Mayonaka Punch

Our main character Masaki is a Youtuber who got fired from her group via livestream. She joins forces with another Youtuber named Live who has superhuman abilities. Together, these two will aim to reach 1 million subscribers.

#5. Oshi no Ko S2

The popular idol murder mystery is back. I’m sure a lot of people are excited. I’ve been reading the manga so I know what happens but I’ll be checking out the anime as I want to see how they animate some scenes.

#4. Tasuuketsu

Here’s a good mystery anime. Humans find themselves in a game of survival as half of the human population disappears each night.

#3. Suicide Squad Isekai

Here’s an anime that’s been highly-anticipated. The Suicide Squad has been tasked by Waller to investigate and conquer another world. It’s DC like we’ve never seen it before in anime form.

#2. Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi

From the pages of Shonen Jump comes the story about a young feudal lord fighting to reclaim Japan. Unfortunately, his best skills are running and hiding so he’ll need to find strong warriors to fight for him. Trust me, this story is great. You’re going to fall in love with it. I swear it.

And number one. . .

#1. Tower of God S2

After waiting for so many years, Tower of God is finally back. After the heinous betrayal at the end of season 1 I think I speak when I say we can’t wait to see what happens next.

And that’s my list. What animes are you excited to see this summer? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading and have a great summer. I’ll see you next time on Project Nitsuj.
