The Top 11 Fuiji Kaze Songs

Hello! Justin here and welcome to the Otaku Mind. Every year I try to do my best to find a new Japanese artist and listen to their music. This year, I think I hit the jackpot as I really got into the work of Fuiji Kaze. Fuiji is an artist that we all saw grow-up before our eyes. From a kid playing his piano online and doing cover songs as a teen, to an adult selling out arenas and making music his way. Much like Eve he’s starting to get the worldwide recognition he deserves. Creating songs that sound familiar but at the same time new and meaningful. Fuiji has a lot of good songs and I’m going to do the impossible and name my top 11 even though this guy deserves a lot more. I’m Justin and these are the top 11 Fuiji Kaze Songs.

#11. Grace

One of Fuiji’s more spiritual songs and a really good one to start with. Not a whole lot to talk about with this one, the message is pretty clear. A guy feeling lost spiritually only realize that God was always near him, inside his heart. The lyrics are meaningful, Fuiji’s voice is great, and I love the cinematography of the video. This is India not those slums you see in Hollywood movies. Just like every country and city out there it has it’s good and bad points. I don’t know if Fuiji is a believer but he’s clearly a spiritual guy who believes that there’s something out there bigger than all of us and he’s thankful for it.

#10.  Mo-Eh-Wa

Not to be confused with his other song, Mo-Eh-Yo. This is a good song to listen to if you’re depressed or feeling down about the burdens of life. Society has become pretty disillusioned about what’s important in life. We believe a person’s value is determined by their material wealth, and fame when really it’s none of those things. None of that stuff should matter. It certainly won’t matter in the next life. What matters is who you are as a person and the bonds you share with people. That’s the take away from this song and I think the world is starting to catch on to this message.

#9. Tabiji

This was the first song I heard from Fuiji and every time I listen to it I just remember my time in high school and college. Spending time with my friends, going to classes, doing assignments, and just having fond memories of it all. Yes, there were some hard times but none of that really matters now. What matters is that I can look back on these memories both the good and bad and think fondly of them and continue to grow and learn as a person. I do miss those days but I’m happy with the days I have now and look forward to the next days. I know down the line I’ll look on this day and remember it fondly.

#8. Kirari

One of Fuiji’s more upbeat songs that gives off the feeling of finding someone you love and wanting to be with them forever. This is a song that really shows off Fuiji’s charms as a singer and songwriter. Not only does it sound like he’s singing this solely for you but the lyrics can apply to about anything. Whether it’s finding someone you love or doing something you love, this song tells you to go after it and not to regret it.

#7. Feelin’ Go(o)d

Here’s another upbeat song. This song just has good vibes. It’s impossible not to feel happy when listening to this song. That’s all I have to say and that’s all I need to say. The music video is also very creative. It’s like what would happen if Willy Wonka invaded your dreams.

#6. Shinunoga E-Wa

I believe every artist has a signature song that only they can sing. For Fuiji, it’s this song. The vocals, the range, the emotion this is the song where he has you in the palm of his hands and you are mesmerized by him. This is him baring his soul to the world. If anybody else were to sing this it wouldn’t have been this impactful or have you emotionally invested. This is a song that only Fuiji could have thought up and it’s a song that only he could sing to its fullest potential.

#5. Kiri Ga Naikara

Man, I was addicted to this song when I first heard it. Out of all of Fuiji’s song this is probably his most underrated song and I have no idea why, it’s so good. It’s a short song, it’s only just one verse and he repeats it twice but that verse is deep and philosophical. However, the real selling point of this song for me is the beat. Oh my goodness, this beat goes hard. This song may just have my favorite beat from all of his songs. It’s just the perfect sound to me. Life can feel endless at times. So why not make the most of it and blaze a trail for others to follow instead of straying?

#4. Hana

Here’s another song that has a great vibe and a good philosophical view about life. For a lot of people this is the song that touched them the most and after listening to it you’ll see why. The song is like therapy, asking you to take a hard look at your life and ask yourself are you happy? Are you passionate about what you’re doing or are you just trudging through life like a wilted flower waiting to be put out of your misery? Make sure you’re watering the flower within your heart and making it bloom.

#3. Workin’ Hard

These next three songs were a close race and either of them could have been number one. Workin’ Hard is Fuiji paying his respects to the working person and thanking them for their service. I’m sure everyone has had a job where they feel underappreciated and overlooked. Chances are you’re working that job now and could use a little recognition and praise from others. Well this song is for you and just know that I thank you for all your hard work and dedication. I’ll follow your example and put my all into my work as well.

#2. Nan-Nan

Is it better to tell the truth or keep the truth hidden in order to spare the feelings of another person or keep yourself from getting hurt? This song answers that question for you and does it in a way that has you invested and asking for more. The truth hurts sometimes and I would rather somebody be truthful and hurt my feelings than keep it hidden and make me look like a fool. This song really gives me some spiritual vibes. Seriously, change up the lyrics and I could totally see this being a Christian song played in churches.

And number one. . .

#1. Matsuri

If I was introducing someone to Fuiji Kaze this is the song I would show them. Why? Because this song encompasses everything about him. He’s not an artist who likes to flaunt his wealth or pretend to be someone or something he’s not. He’s a casual guy who likes music and wants to share that joy with everyone. That’s Fuiji Kaze, a guy who likes music and doesn’t need any major material possession to feel needed or satisfied. The vibe of this song is great and puts me in a state of bliss whenever I listen to it. I don’t need to be some big shot in life in order to feel validated, I just need to be myself and enjoy life the way I want to.

And that’s my list. Definitely give this guy a listen to when you get the chance and if you didn’t see your favorite song on the list let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you next time on Project Nitsuj.
