*Flashback*
*Kai and his dad were walking through a weapon’s shop owned in the countryside*
(Kai): You sure I’ll find a good weapon out here, dad?
(Alex): Positive. If you’re looking for a good weapon, then you’ll find it here.
*They both pass by a sign that says Hephaestus Metal Works. They then get the attention of a blacksmith wearing a black apron, grey shirt, and brown pants. The man had brown hair, blue eyes, and brown mustache*
(Blacksmith): Alex! So good to see you. Welcome to the shop!
(Alex): Seth! Long time no see! How’s the family?
(Seth): Doing great! Dia is becoming quite popular in school. Pearl wants to get into the family business.
(Alex): Two girls and no boy. How are you staying sane in that house?
(Seth): It’s not too bad. I have a good assortment of weapons to keep boys away. Plus me and Sable are going to have twins soon. One of them has to be boy. I know it.
(Alex): Well if all else fails you can adopt a boy.
(Seth): So this is the young Kaiser I’ve heard so much about. I’m Seth Hephaestus. A pleasure to meet you.
(Kai): Hi.
(Alex): Seth here used to be a knight back in the day. He and I worked together another of times and became friends in the process.
(Seth): So, you want to become a knight. What do you hope to achieve?
(Kai): Don’t know. I want to live up to the family name and help others anyway I can. Being a knight seemed like the best fit for me.
(Seth): Not a bad answer. Well the first step to becoming a knight and figuring out your weapon and fighting style. That will decide your training. Anything particular your looking for?
(Kai): A sword.
(Seth): A basic but a goodie. We have quite the assortments of swords here. From standard swords to long swords to greatswords to katanas. You’ve got quite the muscular frame so I say long swords and greatswords will serve you well.
*Kai and Alex followed Seth through the workshop as looking at the swords until Kai came across a golden greatsword sitting in a glass case*
(Kai): Hey what about this sword?
(Seth): Oh that’s an old sword from my grandpa’s era.
*Kai walks closer to the case to see the sword*
(Kai): It’s cool looking. What’s it made from?
(Seth): Tungsten. With its high melting point it’s the perfect sword for fire users.
(Alex): Well then, we’re in luck. Kai’s magic element is fire.
(Seth): Really? Well then this sword will be a good fit for you.
(Alex): What’s it called?
(Seth): Don’t know. It was crafted by an elf my grandpa employed. I was about Kaiser’s age when he made the sword. Even by elf standards I thought he was strange, but his skills were top notch. Said he made this sword as a joke.
*Seth opens the case and touches the touch. Strange red letters appear on the sword for everyone to see*
(Kai): What’s it say?
(Alex): It’s Elfan. It says: only those with a strong soul can lift me.
(Seth): Yep. Since then nobody’s been able to lift it. This sword’s been in the case for so long that it might as well be a store decoration. I’d give it away for free if I could but who wants a sword they can’t lift.
(Alex): So, since the case doesn’t buckle under the sword, does that mean the case has a strong soul? Or what about the table that holds the case?
(Seth): You sound just like my workers.
*As Seth and Alex talk, Kai grips the hilt of the sword with both hands and the letters turn blue. Kai then lifts look at the sword and sees how the letters change. Out of the corner of his eye, Seth sees Kai holding the sword and gasped as he pointed at the boy. Alex turns around to see Kai holding. At first he’s shocked but then just smiles proudly*
(Kai): What do you think?
(Alex): It certainly matches you.
(Seth): Yeah. There’s some training grounds just outside. Feel free to go there and get a feel for the sword.
(Kai): Alright.
*Kai heads outside leaving Alex and Seth*
(Alex): So, about that on the house deal.
(Seth): Uh yeah. . .can I interest you in some sheathes? Some of my best work for a good price.
*End Flashback*

*Present Day*
*With only a left before the ceremony, Kai and Silvi were by a waterfall to rest before they continued to the capital. Kai and Silvi had been driving all night so they were both a little exhausted. Silvi got a few hours of sleep but was still tired. Kai on the other hand got no hours of sleep*
(Kai): We’re almost at the capital. Almost close to you ascending the throne.
(Silvi): And your almost close to getting that sweet reward you’ve been talking about. Just out of curiosity, how much are they paying you to protect me.
(Kai): If I told you, you’d kill me out of principle. Let’s just say it’s a good amount of money that’s well worth it.
(Silvi): Any plans for when you get it?
(Kai): Hmm~. Spend it all on a nice steak dinner and plenty of drinks.
*Kai’s declaration got a good chuckle out of Silvi who smiled at him. Despite everything that’s happened she had enjoyed the trip and after seeing what transpired in the previous she now determined to take the throne and stop her brother from enforcing such a ridiculous law. As Kai was relaxing by a truck, he noticed a light glare on his sword move downward. He then quickly ran toward Silvi, drew his sword and got in front of her. Using his sword, Kai managed to deflect a light bullet and save Silvi’s life*
(Kai): Stay behind me!
(Silvi): What was that!?
(Kai): Sniper. Whatever you do don’t leave my side.
*Kai looked around hoping to find the sniper but had no luck*

*Off in the forest, looking through his sniper scope was Slater. He was sitting in what looked like a large mechanical tiger*
(Slater): Not bad. I had heard this mercenary was good but I didn’t think he’d be this impressive and alert. Let’s see how he handles this. Go. Don’t screw this up.

*As Kai continued to look around hoping to pinpoint the Slater’s location he heard a whirling electric sound heading their way*
(Kai): Duck!
*Kai pulls himself and Silvi to the ground just in time as two large hatchets flew passed them. The hatchets spun around and around skipping along the water before spinning back around and getting caught by Lyne and Skye. Kai and Silvi rose back to their feet*
(Kai): Great. Two fighters and a sniper. This is not an ideal situation.
(Lyne): Come on Skye, let’s get them.
(Skye): Right!
*Using their agility, the tiger demihumans charge at Kai with their hatchets. With blue lightning shooting off their bodies they both leaped in the air trying to attack Kai who blocks their hatchets with his sword. Lightning could be seen shooting from the hatchets as Kai struggled to keep them at bay. Silvi seeing herself as a burden to Kai in this fight decided that she needed to move away*
(Kai): No! The sniper is keyed in on us. You move and you’re as good as dead.
(Silvi): Well if we stay here we’re as good as dead. We have to move.
(Kai): I know. Grab my keys and press the red button.
*As Kai managed to use his strength and push the two demihumans back, Silvi reached into his pocket and pulled out the truck keys and pressed the button. The revving of the truck’s engine could be heard as it automatically went into drive and drove toward the demihumans. The demihumans quickly jumped out of the way as Kai and Silvi used this distraction to run toward the forest. Kai kept Silvi close to him as they ran toward the forest. From afar, Slater could see with they were doing and fired at the two. Kai deflected Slater’s bullets but one managed to nip Kai in the upper thigh. Gritting his teeth and fighting through the pain Kai and Silvi managed to run into the forest and out of Slater’s sight. The demihumans were busy dodging the truck until Skye finally had enough and sliced the truck in half causing it to explode. After destroying the truck, red lettering appears on Skye’s collar causing it to glow. This unleashed some kind of dark magic throughout her body. She felt like she was being choked and crushed by gravity at the same time. As she fell to one knee, Lyne rushed over to check on her sister only to have her collar activated as well and felt the same pain. Back with Slater he had his finger on a button inside the mechanical tiger*
(Slater): Stop fooling around and go after them.
*Slater takes his finger off the button and the collars return to normal. Feeling a weight lifted off their bodies, Skye gave a disgruntled look in Slater’s direction while growling*
(Lyne): Skye no. No growling.
(Skye): I hate him.
(Lyne): I know, I hate him too. But we have to focus on getting our targets.
*Listening to her sister, Skye turns her attention to the forest where Kai and Silvi ran off to. The two demihumans enter the forest to track down Kai and Silvi*

*In the forest, Kai and Silvi had found a ditch to hide in. Silvi had just finished tending to Kai’s leg by wrapping it a bandage she made from cloth. Once she was done, Kai stood back up and prepared to fight*
(Kai): Stay down here and don’t come out unless I say so.
(Silvi): Kai, your leg is injured. We should keep running and get as far away from them as possible.
(Kai): No point in running away when they’re this close to us. We’re not too far from the capital. I ain’t turning back now.
(Silvi): But your leg.
(Kai): I’ve had worse injuries.
*Kai climbs out of the ditch just as Lyne and Skye appear*
(Lyne): No use hiding. We can smell you!
(Kai): Yeah, yeah. Sorry to keep you waiting. Let’s do this, kitties.
*Kai and the two demihumans charged at each other until their weapons clashed with each other. Silvi peeked out from the ditch and could see Kai holding his own against the demihumans as sparks of fire and lightning could be seen flying around them. The demihumans tried to use their speed to gain an advantage over Kai, but his experience and strength held them at bay. Using one of his boots he managed to kick Lyne away and turned the fight into a one-on-one fight with Skye. She actually did a good job holding her own against, but Kai managed to sweep her legs and cause her to fall backwards. Kai pointed his sword downward at her but Lyne threw her hatchet at him while jumping in the air. Kai blocked the attack with his sword while Skye tossed her hatchet up into the air. The hatchet was caught by Lyne who swung it downward at Kai. He managed to block the attack but was pushed back by it. He soon fell to one knee after feeling pain in his hurt leg but kept his eyes on the demihumans who were breathing heavily. Seeing Silvi hiding in the ditch and feeling like that they had the upper hand, the demihumans charged at Kai. One of them would distract Kai while the other killed Silvi. There was no way he couldn’t stop both of them in his condition. However, Kai proved them wrong. Before the demihumans could make their move, Kai lunged forward catching the girls off guard*
(Kai): Burning Tornado!
*Kai spun himself around with his sword catching the demihumans in a tornado of fire. The girls screamed out in pain as they were burnt and fell to the ground once the tornado was over*
(Kai): Looks like you kittens still have a lot to learn about battle psychology.
(Silvi): Did you have to be so rough on them?
(Kai): Relax, I didn’t harm them that much. Now let’s move.
(Lyne and Skye): You’re not going anywhere!
*Lyne and Skye returned to their feet much to the shock of Kai and Silvi*
(Kai): Stand down you two, you’re done. I don’t want to hurt a bunch of kids.
(Lyne): The only one getting hurt is you.
(Skye): Yeah!
*Not wanting things to escalate, Kai struck the demihumans in the stomach with the back of his sword causing them to fall to the ground*
(Kai): Like I said. Stay. Down.
*All of sudden the collars around their necks activated and the girls screamed out in pain from what the collars were doing to them. Kai saw the collars light up and was shocked at what he saw*
(Kai): Slave collars.
*All of a sudden Slater appears out of the sky riding his mechanical tiger*
(Slater): Worthless animals.
(Kai): I take it you’re the guy who shot me and enslaved these two girls?
(Slater): Ay. You can call me Slater. And I’ll be the one killing you this evening.
