Hello! Nitsuj here and welcome to the side blog the blogs between the blogs. Well the weather may still be in later summer mode but fall is here which means new anime is coming out soon. As I mentioned before the fall season is usually when the anime industry releases all their best anime for the year. It’s a good way to close out the year and get everyone excited for the next year. The summer anime for the most part has been pretty good. My favorites include Jujutsu Kaisen, Mushoku Tensei, Zom 100 (despite the delays), Rurouni Kenshin, Spy Classroom, Bungou Stray Dogs, and Reborn As a Vending Machine. Other than that I’ve been taking it pretty easy this summer but I expect that to change with the fall. So let’s dive right into First Impressions for the Fall 2023 line-up.
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Season 3
So we kick things off with the return of a lot of previous animes getting another season. The first one is Shield Hero. After what many consider to be a disappointing second season we’re hoping the third one is better. Watching it.
SPY×FAMILY Season 2
Speaking of returns we’ve got SpyxFamily returning not only for a second season but a movie as well. Watching it.
Goblin Slayer II
After years of waiting Goblin Slayer is finally returning and I couldn’t be happier. Watching it.
The Eminence in Shadow 2nd season
Second season of dork boy controlling things from the shadow. Watching it.
Dr. STONE: NEW WORLD Part 2
The second half of season 3. We ended the first half on a cliffhanger so I’m excited to see what happens next.
Sousou no Frieren
The story of an elf mage confronting her own immortality and fulfilling the last wishes of her comrades. Watching it.
The Apothecary Diaries
There’s been a lot of hype around this anime. A young apothecary gets sold to be a servant in the emperor’s palace. When the imperials begin to fall ill she steps in to find a cure catching the eyes of a palace official and making a name for herself. Watching it.
Tokyo Revengers Season 3
Third season of Tokyo Revengers. I never really got into this anime so skipping it.
The Faraway Paladin: The Lord of Rust Mountain
The sequel to Faraway Paladin. This was an anime I think a lot of people slept on but I thought it was good so I’m looking forward to the second season. Watching it.
Undead Unluck
An unlucky girl meets an immortal man trying to kill himself and the two are running from a secret organization. I might watch it.
Kanojo mo Kanojo Season 2
Second season. Didn’t watch this anime so skipping it.
Keikenzumi na Kimi to, Keiken Zero na Ore ga, Otsukiai suru Hanashi
A gloomy boy asks out a popular girl. As the two hangout together they start to bond over their differences. I’ll check it out.
Kimi no Koto ga Dai Dai Dai Dai Daisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo
A romantic comedy about a boy who has to return the feelings of 100 girls or they’ll die in horrible accidents. I might watch it.
Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri
A private investigator and a detective team up to solve baffling mysteries. I might check it out.
Hametsu no Oukoku
In a world where witches are haunted, a boy vows revenge on those who killed his witch mentor. I’ll check it out.
I’m in Love with the Villainess
A girl gets reincarnated into her favorite otome as the main character. Rather than pursue the male interests, she instead pursues the villainous. I might watch it.
The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent II
Second season of another anime I think a lot of people slept on. Watching it.
Dead Mount Death Play Part 2
Second half of the anime. Skipping it.
Hikikomari Kyuuketsuki no Monmon
A shut-in vampire becomes the commander of a bunch of ruffians in the army who don’t listen to anyone that shows weakness. Watching it.
Ragna Crimson
A story of two dragon hunters. I’ll check it out.
Seiken Gakuin no Maken Tsukai
A demon lord sealed for a thousand years gets reincarnated as a 10-year-old boy and must now go to school where hilarious hijinks await him. I might watch it.
Shangri-La Frontier
A gamer tackles what many call a crap game. Watching it.
MF Ghost
A sequel to Initial D. I might check this out.
Mahoutsukai no Yome SEASON 2 Part 2
Second half of the Magnus Bride S2. Kind of fell off watching this anime. I need to get back to it.
A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special
In the final battle to save the Earth our main character and his team fail. When he closes his eyes to embrace death, he wakes up to find himself 13 years into the past. Now he has a chance to save the world all over again. Watching it.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse
A spin-off of the Seven Deadly Sins that focuses of Mediolas’s child. Not interested.
Boushoku no Berserk
A man inherits the skills of his enemies by killing them. Sort of like Megaman. I will check this out.
Hoshikuzu Telepath
A shy girl meets an alien. Not watching.
FLCL: Grunge
Fooly Cooly is back and this time we’re focusing on being an adult after college. Not interested.
Ojou to Banken-kun
The young boss of a crime syndicate lies about his age and enrolls in a school to protect the granddaughter of his former boss who he actually likes. I will check this out, it sounds funny.
SHY
The story of a shy superhero protecting her country. I might watch it.
Tearmoon Teikoku Monogatari: Dantoudai kara Hajimaru, Hime no Tensei Gyakuten Story
A selfish princess gets a second chance to save her life and her kingdom. I might watch it.
Under Ninja
The story of a NEET who’s secretly a ninja. Watching it.
Overtake!
Racing and photography. Not watching.
Konyaku Haki sareta Reijou wo Hirotta Ore ga, Ikenai Koto wo Oshiekomu
A wizard helps a girl who was falsely accused for a crime she didn’t commit. I might watch it.
Boukensha ni Naritai to Miyako ni Deteitta Musume ga S Rank ni Natteta
The story of a retired adventurer and his S-ranked level daughter. I might check it out.
Uma Musume: Pretty Derby Season 3
Third season. Watching it.
Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro
An otaku gets reincarnated as a pig and befriends a girl who can read minds. Not interested.
Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijou
A witch and her adoptive daughter. Not watching.
Paradox Live THE ANIMATION
An anime about rapping. I might check it out.
Kamierabi
No info about this anime yet, but it’s full CGI and it doesn’t look good.
The IDOLM@STER Million Live!
An anime about the game. I might watch it.
Toaru Ossan no VRMMO Katsudouki
In a VRMMORPG, a man masters all the skills people would consider useless and hunts monsters using bizarre weapons. I might check it out.
Bokura no Ameiro Protocol
A retired gamer comes out of retirement to save the net café he works at. Check out the first episode to see where this goes.
Potion-danomi de Ikinobimasu!
Office lady gets reincarnated in another where she can make overpowered potions. Not watching.

Focuses on a good child who has a twin the parents don’t know about. I will check out the first episode to see where this goes.
Atarashii Joushi wa Dotennen
A young man goes to work for a boss who is an airhead. Not watching.
Captain Tsubasa: Season 2 – Junior Youth-hen
A new season of Captain Tsubasa. Not interested.
Kibou no Chikara: Otona Precure ’23
A sequel to Yes! Precure 5, Yes! Precure 5 GoGo! Not watching.
DOG SIGNAL
A man becomes a dog trainer. Not watching.
Continuing into the fall we have Jujutsu Kaisen, Dark Gathering, Kenshin, Helck, and Synduality Noir.
Final Thoughts
Man this list was long. As I predicted, there are a lot of animes out there I’m interested in checking out. It’s going to be a busy fall. What are your thoughts on the fall lineup?
