(Ryuuji): There are two sides to fire. The first side is one of destruction and pain. The other side is warmth and comfort. These two sides describe Zekell perfectly. Records and art work of Zekell described him as a tall man with a rather muscular body and long hair in the color of fire. Despite his imposing figure he was a gentle soul. He often spent most of his time meditating, training, and taking care of animals. He enjoyed the company of others and was said to have gotten along famously with the other gods. However, despite his kind nature he was never afraid to fight whenever he came across injustice and saw things that made him angry. Whenever there was trouble, he was usually the first one to leap into action. Or whenever the gods argued, he would often serve as the mediator between them and resolve their arguments with the gods agreeing with his choice and following it. That shows how much they respected him and saw his decisions as fair and just.
Zekell’s contribution to the world was giving people fire. When he saw how people were cold at night, he gave them fire to keep them warm and to help light their way at night. The first fire he gave to the world was said to be his very heart. Which he used to warm the people of the world on the first night. While Zekell’s acts of goodwill are known, he is best remembered for his battles and his feats of strength. There’s the story of how he defeated a thousand monsters in one night. The one where he carried DeMarcus’s moon into the sky. Or how about the one where he got drunk at Azure’s party and got dunked in the water which resulted in the first-ever hot springs being created. My personal favorite is the story of how he wrestled his loyal fox companion Sapphire for one week straight into submission. Zekell is a beloved god of the world and his religious group, the Fire Monks share his values and practices. But that’s a story for another time.
