Hello and welcome to Project Nitsuj. Today we-
(Jack Bros.): Nitsuj~!
*The Jack Bros. come barging in*
(Pyro Jack): Please Nitsuj we need your help.
(Jack Frost): You’re our only hope.
(Isis): Sorry Nitsuj. We tried to stop them but they wouldn’t give up.
(Nitsuj): What’s going on? You guys got caught peeping in the bathhouse again?
(Jack Frost): No! Far worse! The Duke of Jacks is coming to visit us.
(Isis): The Duke of Jacks?
(Pyro Jack): He’s a high ranking official within our homeland. He’s coming to do an inspection on us.
(Nitsuj): So what’s the big deal, you guys got nothing to hide. Except a list of lecherous acts.
(Pyro Jack): In order to impress him we told him that we were top class reviewers on your show.
(Jack Frost): We told him we were your co-hosts and now he’s coming to check on our progress.
(Isis): So you lied and now you’re afraid he’s going to find out?
(Jack Bros.): Yes!
(Pyro Jack): If he finds out we’ve been lying he’ll revoke our passports and send us back to the Principality of Jack.
(Jack Frost): And once everyone finds out we lied they’ll torture us in the town square. Please Nitsuj, you’ve gotta help us.
(Nitsuj): Alright, alright, I’ll help you guys. But only because of the cliché and I know how this’ll end. When this duke guy shows up I’ll pretend that you guys are my partners and co-hosts.
(Pyro Jack): Oh thank you!
*The Jack Bros. begin to kiss Nitsuj’s feet*
(Isis): So when exactly does this duke fellow arrive?
*The house rumbles and in the living room floor appears a dimensional portal. Everyone rushes to the living room*
(Jack Frost): Apparently now.
*From the portal out pops the Duke of Jacks. A rather fit fellow who had the head of a jack o’ lantern and his hair was made entirely of fire. He wore a trenchcoat with plenty of medals and ribbons on it. He also had a monocle over his right eye*
(Duke of Jacks): Greetings to you on this fine day. For I, Heinz the Duke of Jacks have arrived.
*The Jack Bros. remove their hats and kneel before Heinz*
(Pyro Jack): Greetings Duke Heinz. Tis a pleasure to see you again.
(Jack Frost): You’re looking as healthy as ever.
(Pyro Jack): Baron Jack.
(Jack Frost): And Corbin Jack.
(Jack Bros.): Reporting for duty.
(Nitsuj): Your names are Baron and Corbin?
(Heinz): Who is this human and these strange beings who aren’t kneeling before me?
(Corbin): Oh this is Nitsuj the one we’ve told you about in our reports.
(Nitsuj): Uh greetings your jackiness *kneels*. It is honor to have you in my home.
(Heinz): Ah so this is the one they call Nitsuj. The Jack Bros. have told me so much about you and your show. I must say I’m impressed.
(Nitsuj): Wow. Thank you sir. I owe my success to my two co-hosts and my lovely assistants you see behind me.
(Heinz): Oh~ such lovely young ladies especially the one with white hair.
(Seras): Eh? Oh no, I’m not that pretty.
(Heinz): I only have eyes for the finest things in the world and you my dear lady are one of the finest.
*Heinz approaches Seras, grabs her hand and looks her straight in the eyes*
(Heinz): Please, show me your panties.
(Seras): Like hell I will!
*Seras kicks Heinz upside the head and he falls to the ground chuckling*
(Heinz): Oh~ such feistiness. Just like the reports mentioned.
(Seras): Die and go to hell you pervert!
(Yume): Are all jacks perverts?
*Heinz gets back up and brushes himself off*
(Heinz): Well enough jokes, it’s time to get down to business. I’ve come here to see one of your reviews firsthand.
(Baron): Than you’ve arrived at the right time sir. We’re just about to do a review.
*Nitsuj whispers to Corbin*
(Nitsuj): Are you guys sure about this? You’ve never done a review before?
(Corbin): Don’t worry. We’ve been watching and studying your reviews. Just make the review something with a lot of fanservice and we’ll follow your lead.
(Baron): So Nitsuj today is your turn to pick the anime so what are we reviewing?
(Nitsuj): Well this week we’re going to review. . .Masou Gakuen HxH. Yeah, it’s been awhile since we’ve reviewed something with a large amount of fanservice and this anime has plenty of that. The series is actually based off a light novel written by Masamune Kuji in 2014 and still continuing to this day. The series can basically be described as what would happened if you combined IS, Shinmai Maou no Testament and Highschool DxD. You get a mecha anime with lots of fanservice and plenty of boys drooling over it. Last year Production IMS (Shinmai Maou no Testament) took the series and made an anime out of it. No doubt to hold over the Shinmai Maou fans. Let’s take a look at this generic harem anime. This is Masou Gakuen HxH.
Opening and Ending Theme
The opening is “miele paradiso” by Iori Nomizu. Personally, I rather liked this opening. It’s not the best but it’s a good song to listen to before you start the anime. Iori sounds good and the I like the beat. The ending is “Chi” by Iori Nomizu. Didn’t really care for the ending. I don’t think it’s bad but it’s definitely not good in my eyes. It just didn’t really leave that much of an impact on me.
Episodes 1-4
(Nitsuj): The anime begins with our main character Kizuna voiced by Kenji Akabane (Arashi from Triage X) going to Ataraxia at the request of his sister, Reiri. We see that Ataraxia is one big academy island that trains students to fight against these creatures from another world (Pacific Rim did it first. (Corbin): Yeah but they didn’t do it as pleasing as this anime). As he makes his way to HQ he gets lost and winds up near the edge of the island where he meets a beautiful girl named Aine voiced by Akari Kageyama a newcomer to voice acting who got started last year. She treats him rather badly talking down to him and everything (Baron: Yes mama, talk down to me. I’ve been bad. (Nitsuj): God help me) but her harsh words will have to wait as the creatures from another world have launched in attack on the island. Aine heads out to fight using her fighting mech gear known as the Heart Hybrid Gear (or HHG for short). Her fighting style is close combat and she fights rather wild and recklessly but it gets the job done so to speak. As she’s fighting she loses power and begins to fall to the ground only to get caught by Kizuna who also has an HHG but his specs are weak (so weak that I’m pretty sure the Jack Bros. could take him on and win). Aine lays on the ground unconscious and Kizuna receives a call from his sister telling him what to do to get Aine back in the fight, feel her up (Nitsuj and the Jack Bros.: Oh~ yeah). He begrudgingly does this (Baron: What I wouldn’t give to be in his position right now) and in the process restores the power to her HHG (the power of eros shall save the world). She gets back up, hits him (Corbin: Worth it), and she returns to the fight where she easily beats up the creatures and force their carrier to retreat to bring the episode to a close.
Episode 2 opens up with a little backstory. In the past, these strange creatures known as magitechs materialized in our world all over the world (now they’re copying Independence Day. (Corbin): The first or second one? (Baron): Does it matter? They were both pretty bad). They attacked and all the armies suffered a defeat at their hands and laid waste to multiple cities before leaving. Years later they returned (were you ready this time?) and began attacking again (why did they leave in the first place? (Baron): They left the stove on at home. (Corbin): Or it was lunch break). This forced humanity to take shelter on manmade islands with only a handful of people surviving. This soon led to the creation of the HHG created by Kizuna’s mom which allows them to fight on par if not exceed their enemies. So far at Ataraxia only 3 people can use HHG. One is Aine as we saw last episode and the other two are Hayuru voiced by Juri Nagatsuma a member of the disciplinary squad (oh~ I cannot wait to see you get corrupted by Kizuna) and the other is Yurishia voiced by Chinatsu Akasak (Alice from Food Wars) an American blonde with big-breasts (I call the American stereotype. (Corbin): Disciplinary girl. (Baron): Bossy girl for me). Together, these 3 make up the team of Amaterasu and Kizuna will be joining them because he has the power to replenish their HHGs and the best way to power up the HHG is by sharing love and pleasure (Baron: And lust) with the girls known as a Heart Hybrid (Baron: You sure it’s not Boner Hybrid because I’m getting one right now. Shizuku, have the lotion on standby. (Shizuku): Don’t push your luck. . .boss). This means that the members of Amaterasu are ordered to do lewd things with Kizuna whenever their low on energy (you lucky son of a bitch). So once word of this spreads everyone in the school thinks he’s a huge pervert (Corbin: A very lucky pervert) and the members of Amaterasu all think differently of him. While Aine and Yurishia are open to the perverted play Hayuru is not (give it time, she’ll come around. They always do). Later on Kizuna gets called in by his sister where he’s named the captain of Amaterasu and he has his own assistant named Sylvia who’ll be acting as a liaison between Kizuna and his sister. The group is then tasked with a mission of gathering resources on a nearby island where the magitechs appear while Kizuna and Yurishia are out scouting the area. Because of this, they have to fight with Yurishia telling Kizuna to go get help which he does but as he leaves he notices Yurishia’s hybrid count is low so he heads back to save her in the nick of time even taking a power shot for her and everything (and she’s in love with him). While barely conscious he accidently gropes Yurishia’s boob which happens to be her weak spot (make a note of that Corbin. (Corbin): Way ahead of you). This replenishes her power and she takes out the last magitech with ease. The mission ends with a success and Aine and Yurishia want to do another heart hybrid with Kizuna in his room to end the episode.
Episode 3 is a rather serious episode (so serious that they don’t even show boobs *Baron and Corbin begin to cry*). It starts off with Yurishia going on a date with Kizuna to Tokyo’s megafloat island to see the sights and culture replicas. Once he gets back he runs into Hayuru where the two walk, chat a little, and they perform a heart hybrid by simply touching each other (he’s getting good at this. He didn’t have to do anything sexual to her). After that he focuses on Aine who seems to be obsessed with fighting and getting stronger than Yurishia and Hayuru. Not much is really known about her past not even she herself knows who she is. 7 years ago she was found in Tokyo and taken in by Kizuna’s mom because she displayed a high potential for the HHG. She was subjected to test on a regular basis and never really interacted with anyone except Kizuna’s mom who one day disappeared without a trace for some reason. In the final part of the episode Reiri reveals to Kizuna the dark truth of the HHG that she recently discovered. It turns out that once the HHG is inserted into the girl it acts as their lifespan so if their HHG reaches zero they die. This means that Kizuna is the only person who can keep them alive.
In episode 4 the magitech launch a huge attack on Ataraxia and Amaterasu is deployed to face them (Corbin: Well this is pretty unbelievable. (Baron): What, the army, three girls taking on said army, or just the anime in general? (Corbin): None. I haven’t gotten a snow-bleed yet. I’m very proud of myself). Aine fights recklessly trying to catch up to Yurishia and Hayuru and it’s here that we start to dive a little more into her psyche and her obsession with power. To her this is basically all she has. She doesn’t remember her past, and because of this she doesn’t know how to act around other people or what to do in the world. All she can do is just fight and believe that she’ll find all the answers she’s looking for (in a way she’s like Charlie Brown. We don’t know why bad things always happen to him and he himself never questions it. He just believes that all he can do is keep moving forward and someday he’ll find the answers he’s looking for). Eventually she gets knocked out by the flagship and Kizuna saves her. He takes her back to Ataraxia where they have their moment of the two realizing they’re alike (Baron: We’re not so different. You and I, Nitsuj. (Nitsuj): Yes we are. We’re night and day. The sun and moon. The list goes on. You, me, and your brother may agree on a few things and people may associate us together. But we are totally different from each other). The talk manages to calm Aine down and the two do a heart hybrid with each other (this one was pretty intense). After the hybrid is over Aine wants more (oh~ second round, I’m all for that) and begins acting more promiscuous than before. It turns out this is a side effect from the heart hybrid. After a successful heart hybrid the girl becomes overcome with strong symptoms of lust and their libido goes into overdrive (Corbin: In other words, she wants something stiff inside her *gets a snow-bleed*). This actually does manage to work to Kizuna’s advantage (Baron: I bet it does) as by doing this it’ll allow Aine to reach a climax hybrid which will allow her to use her immoral weapon. So Kizuna takes on the aggressive Aine where she tries to suffocate him with her breast (Baron: What I wouldn’t give to be in that man’s position. (Corbin): I’d rather have her sit on my face butt first) and he manages to make her climax. After her climax hybrid, Aine rejoins the fight and unleashes her immoral weapon the arm cannon. Kizuna also joins the fight and displays fighting skills and strength that are on par with Aine. Aine unleashes the power of her arm cannon wiping off a majority of the army and forcing them to retreat giving Aine and everyone else the victory. During a party Aine tells Kizuna that she’s starting to remember her past a little and we also see that the flagship of the magitech was protected by a human female who has a HHG herself.
Episodes 5-8
In episode 5 Reiri wants Kizuna to increase his relationship with Hayuru since she’s the only one who hasn’t done a heart hybrid with him (Baron: This anime is very self-aware of itself isn’t it?). In order to help him with that she has ordered the girls in R&D to create a virtual stimulator room known as the Love Room (and once I’m done with it, it’ll be known as the messing room if you know what I mean, //youtu.be/rv9qs5WVHS8?t=30s). He’s ordered to test it out and chooses to test it out with Yurishia (Corbin: Test it out with Hayuru and build you’re relationship! Weren’t you listening man? (Nitsuj): And what may I ask is he supposed to do? Walk up to her and say do a heart hybrid with me in the Love Room? (Corbin): Yes, that’s what I would do. (Baron): And yet you wonder why you’re single). As he’s trying to figure out what kind of setting Yurishia would like he notices that she takes an interest in the S&M room (my girl. (Baron): Lucky bastard) and decides to go with this where he takes the lead and everything (good~ let the eros flow through you). He dresses himself and her in S&M gear where at first it seems like Yurishia is gonna play the S and Kizuna the M but no it’s the opposite. Kizuna puts a blindfold over Yurishia, handcuffs her, and begins to play with her successfully performing a heart hybrid (*Baron gets a fire-bleed*). After this successful event he tries to ask Hayuru out but gets distracted by Sylvia who shows off her report card (he’s not gonna fall for your trap prison bait). The next day the group receives a distress signal from the megafloat Guam (Corbin: I’m just going to assume it’s Guatemala. (Nitsuj): That’s a safe bet). Believing it’s from a survivor, they go to investigate where they get into a fight against that woman working with the magitech from last episode who says she’s from the Batlantis Empire which rules half the world and comes from the same dimension as the magitech. The group is no match for her so she gets bored and summons a three-headed mecha dragon (when did we enter a Dungeons and Dragons game? (Baron): Arch mage casts tower of fire on the beast? (Nitsuj): *Throws a 20-sided dice* The hit is good but has little effect. 2 points worth of damage. (Corbin): Warrior swings his mighty battle axe as he lunges at the beast. (Nitsuj): *Rolls dice again* The warrior misses). They try to fight the dragon with Hayuru going berserk on us (*rolls dice* swordswoman’s attack has no effect on the dragon) and Kizuna tells everyone to retreat with Hayuru a little hesitant but follows order (*rolls dice* the party retreats. Everyone gets away safely).
At the start of episode 6 we see the group has returned to base and we learn the identity of that woman from the Batlantis Empire, Aldea. We also see that they’ve given the three-headed dragon a name, Tri-head (not the most creative name if you ask me). Hayuru wants to go back ASAP and destroy the Tri-head as well as capture Aldea but Reiri says no so Hayuru defies orders and goes to take on Aldea herself (Baron: My Hayuru is defying orders? I am so turned on right now). Her fight against Aldea doesn’t go as well as she would of have hoped as she almost gets herself torn to shreds but gets saved by Kizuna and the others who arrive onto the scene. Aldea quickly takes an interest in Aine and unleashes the Tri-Head once again to fight them (Corbin: Party attempts to run away. (Nitsuj): *Rolls dice* The party cannot run away. You must fight the dragon or perish). Hayuru’s hybrid count is too low to fight but luckily Reiri shows up with the Love Room (Baron: Giggity) and Kizuna goes inside with Hayuru where she reveals why she’s gone all Captain Ahab on us. It turns out this isn’t her first time fighting the Tri-Head. In the past while she was helping a megafloat evacuate the Tri-Head appeared and wiped out everyone on the megafloat in an instant. Hayuru blamed herself for this disaster saying she was too weak to help anyone and should have trained more but Kizuna tells her that instead of worrying about the people she couldn’t save she should focus on the people she can save (like your friends outside the Love Room who are probably getting their asses handed to them by the Tri-Head and dying a slow and painful death). Kizuna tells her that if they do a climax hybrid she’ll have the power she needs to defeat the Tri-Head so they do a heart hybrid outside a Japanese shrine and then do a climax hybrid in the classroom with Hayuru dressed up like a catgirl with a tail and everything (Baron: He should have made her a teacher. (Nitsuj): Yeah. (Corbin): Totally agree, would have been so much hotter. (Nitsuj): Or how about a skimpy school girl? (Baron): Oh yeah, that be nice too. Sign me up for that). Once she reaches her climax she returns to the battle using her immoral weapon (a slightly better sword) and with one attack defeats the Tri-Head (*rolls dice* It’s a critical hit! The Tri-Head has been slain. (Corbin): Huzzah~! (Nitsuj): But the warrior is dead. (Corbin): Fuck~). With the Tri-Head defeated they focus their attention on Aldea who brings an army to help her fight and Amaterasu also gets some backup from The Masters the American Heart Hybrid unit. Before they can all fight Aldea gets called back over and she leaves which gives us time to see the Masters and Amaterasu interact with each other where we see the leader of the Masters, Scarlet, has a personal grudge against Yurishia (is it because her breast are bigger?).
In the first half of episode 7 Yurishia and Scarlet fight for Kizuna’s attention (Baron: Let the games begin). Scarlet wants to learn more about his hidden power (Corbin: No problem. Come and join me in the Love Room. You and the rest of your American team) but Yurishia refuses to let her have Kizuna so the two have a series of duels in the arcade where Kizuna notices that the two have perfect coordination with each other. Hell, they even have the same fashion sense as they pick the same bikini in order to seduce Kizuna (just do them both man). After the duels Kizuna finally talks to Scarlet to know what happened between them in the past (Corbin: And please leave no details out). Scarlet tells Kizuna that in the past Yurishia used them as pawns to take out a magitech and took all the glory for it. Scarlet along with a few others got seriously injured in the attack and since then she has never forgiven Yurishia for her actions. After this we cut to the Batlantis Empire which is all female (*Baron gets out his phone* (Nitsuj): What are you doing? (Baron): I’m trying to google the coordinates to their dimension so I can go there after the review is over). We see that Aldea and her captain Gabrel seem to have a yuri relationship going on (hey in a kingdom full of females and no males what did you expect?) and once she finds out about Aine she takes an interest in her and wants to meet her. In the second half we see Aine become desperate trying to figure out who she is and where she comes from but comes up empty handed in her searches. Kizuna noticing how troubled she is tries to comfort her but Gabrel shows up right in the middle of the academy demanding they hand over Aine (Baron: Or how about this, you and Aldea join Kizuna’s harem and we officially turn the anime into a hentai and have a good time with orgies in the Love Room. (Nitsuj): Uh no, I think we’ll just stick to the super-hot harem/ecchi formula. (Corbin): If you wanna keep playing it safe Nitsuj that’s your loss). They all fight against Gabrel and she easily defeats all of them (Corbin: How in the hell did you guys last this long against the magitech before Kizuna arrived? (Baron): They’re very stubborn, got lucky, and they only sent weak magitech in the past). Gabrel runs out of power and retreats for the time being to end the episode but she vows to return and capture Aine.
In episode 8 about a week goes by after the events of episode 7 and everyone has healed (Corbin: Except for those two American girls but we don’t need them. . .yet). Gabrel has set up base in Okinawa and has created an entrance and everything (Baron: For the love of God do not close that entrance. I will fucking burn you if you close that entrance). In order to beat her Reiri recommends they do a connective hybrid which is like a combination of the heart and climax hybrid except you do it with two girls instead of one (Baron: So basically it’s a threesome? (Nitsuj):. . .yes. (Baron): Excuse us for a moment. We have some business to do outside. (Nitsuj): I shall join you. *Nitsuj and the Jack Bros. go outside and begin celebrating. After a few seconds of celebrating and jumping around they come back in and sit down to resume the review*). Kizuna recommends Yurishia and Scarlet for the connective hybrid (woah looks like he’s got a taste for foreigners. He tasted that foreign honey and now he wants more) and they enter the Love Room (Baron: mk 2) where they set the mood appropriately and Kizuna even fixes the relationship between Yurishia and Scarlet (in one of the dumbest scenes in the anime). It turns out that during the mission that Yurishia supposedly betrayed Scarlet and the others, they were fighting over a city and if Scarlet missed her target the damage and deaths would have been bad so Yurishia made up the lie that the enemy was appearing in a far off location and sent Scarlet and the others to face it only to see that the enemy really did appear at the location Yurishia lied about (she’s physic). While it’s true Yurishia took all the credit for destroying the enemy she never meant to put any of her teammates in harm’s way (then why the hell didn’t you tell her this sooner? Or better yet, why didn’t you just tell Scarlet not to fire on the city, I’m sure she would have listened, she respects you more than anyone? This backstory was just needless drama between two characters who had a failure to communicate). So the two make-up and then attack Kizuna (who I forgot to mention has really been getting into these hybrid sections. (Corbin): Yeah the guy’s a natural. Just work on his flirting skills and he’ll have all those girls eating out of his hand) performing a successful connective hybrid. After that, they head out to face Gabrel and Aldea in Okinawa where Yurishia and Scarlet take on the lesbian lovers with Yurishia unleashing her immoral weapon a railgun equipped with a armor piercer for good measures (Corbin: Oh if that doesn’t get you off than I don’t know what will). They manage to take out Aldea which pisses Gabrel off so she unleashes her true weapon a Gatling gun sword (so ridiculous and yet so cool at the same time. (Baron): I am so hard right now). Kizuna comes in to protect them from the attack and takes on Gabrel by himself showing off his copying abilities and using all of Yurishia’s guns and Scarlet’s missiles to beat Gabrel. While Gabrel may have lost the fight she’s not down for the count. She picks up Aldea and retreats just in time before the entrance could be closed (Baron: Noooooooo~).
Episodes 9-12
At the start of episode 9 we see that thanks to their victory last episode they now have established a solid foothold on Japan and are now about to launch an operation to retake Japan’s mainland (we’re going to reclaim our anime and manga). But before the attack they host a school festa where Amaterasu will be performing on stage but Aine has disappeared on them so they have Sylvia step in for her while Kizuna searches for her. While that’s going on we go to the Batlantis Empire where Gabrel has been labeled a traitor for keeping Aine’s existence a secret and is being tortured sexually (Corbin: This place just keeps getting better and better). Once they force Gabrel to spill the location of Aine they ready a whole armada to get her even if that means killing everyone in the process. After searching the whole campus while running into everyone (Baron: And getting caught in gags) Kizuna eventually finds Aine in a classroom where she no longer wants to do a heart hybrid (Corbin: What blasphemy is this?! Have you forgotten what you’re in? This is Masou Gakuen HxH not Toradora). The reason for this is because she’s starting to piece together that she’s not from Earth but rather a different dimension and now she’s afraid of what she’ll learn. But Kizuna assures her that no matter who she is or where she comes from she will always to be Aine to him. They then start to do a heart hybrid in the classroom where more of Aine’s memories start to come back to her and she panics (Baron: You’re spoiling the mood. (Corbin): Speak for yourself. (Nitsuj): What is wrong with you? (Corbin): Lots of free time). As she panics Reiri contacts everyone to let them know of an enemy fleet approaching the island and Amaterasu heads out to face them and are shocked to see that the person on the flagship is Kizuna’s mom (of course she’s evil. Why am not surprised?).
Episode 10 starts off with Kizuna talking to his mom who basically says she joined up with Batlantis for research reasons and refuses to leave. She tells him that if he wants answers he’ll have to come to Tokyo and after that she leaves with Batlantis and retreats for the time being. Kizuna and the others return to base where it’s hinted that Kizuna’s mom might be working as a spy feeding them information. In fact, she’s the one who told them about the heart hybrid and Kizuna being the key to unlocking it (Corbin: God bless that woman). Even though there’s a possibility of walking into a trap they decide to go with the plan to retake Tokyo but Reiri says they’re going to need more firepower and tells Kizuna to choose a candidate to receive the HHG. Ultimately, he chooses Sylvia (oh you lolicon! Police! Arrest this man) but tries to passively talk her out of it because once the HHG is put into her body if it hits zero she’ll die (Baron: And we can’t have lolis dying on us *Nitsuj and Corbin nod in agreement with Baron*). Sylvia views Kizuna’s passive talk as him saying she’s useless and she runs away crying until he catches up with her and explains that he doesn’t want her to die. She responds by saying she wants to fight just like everyone else and support Kizuna. Seeing her determination, Kizuna implants the HHG within her (thankfully they skip over the loli molestation because if they showed it I’m positive they would have all been going to jail). After that we just see everyone getting ready mentally for the battle ahead. We see Hayuru and Yurishia talk about how they changed for the better thanks to Kizuna, Aine still refuses to heart hybrid with Kizuna and starts to revert back to her old way of thinking (stop being a baby and let him feel you up. You know you like it). The day of the operation comes and Amaterasu manages to reach Tokyo landing separately at different locations to throw off the enemy as well as plant GPS signals for their base. When Kizuna finally heads up topside he’s shocked to find himself in a district full of people (Baron: Illusion. Totally an illusion).
In the opening moments of episode 11 we find out that what Kizuna sees is just an illusion created by his mom (Baron: Called it). The people however are real and they’re all trapped in an illusion getting their life energy slowly drained by Batlantis who are using their life energy as magic energy. In time this process will sweep the world and our world will become their power source (man this is messed up). Kizuna can’t believe what he’s heard and demands to know how to remove the heart hybrid from everyone to which she replies it can’t be removed in fact she even says she didn’t create the things, she just used them to test out the hybrid which was a huge success according to her (Corbin: I will kill her! I will kill her~! (Nitsuj): You’re gonna have to wait in line because I want a piece of her first). In a fit of rage Kizuna tries to attack his own mom (I know I shouldn’t say this but fuck your mom up Kizuna) but gets deflected and soon the main army arrives where Kizuna retreats so he doesn’t get civilians involved. He leads them to a trap where the others ambush them (Baron: If this wasn’t a battlefield this would be a very arousing situation) but after a while their commander takes out the girls in her mecha hybrid but they get saved by Sylvia where we see her HHG is a giant exoskeleton mech (looks like a lost mech from IS). She fights the loli commander (never in all my years of watching anime did I think I would see lolis fighting each other in giant mechs. (Corbin): Dreams do come true. (Nitsuj): I never said it was my dream. (Baron): For him it is) and wins but the commander refuses to accept this lost so she detonates her HHG which unleashes a blast so powerful it’ll wipe out the Kanto region (hah, Cell did it better). But Sylvia steps up again for the team and uses her immoral gear where she unleashes a persona who absorbs the blast saving everyone (okay I think it’s fair to say Sylvia became the OP character of this anime). Reiri sends in the Love Room and Kizuna begins recharging the girls starting with Hayura (Corbin: Oh for God’s sake just do a foursome we all know it’s coming so just do it) and after she’s finish Aine jumps ahead of Yurishia (someone’s thirsty) and asks Kizuna to do a climax hybrid with her saying no matter what happens she won’t change.
In the final episode (Baron: Why must all the good things come to an end?) we start with Kizuna and Aine where he puts her in a classroom situation embarrassing her greatly by groping her and take off her panties (Corbin: Damn man you a pervert! I like you). Despite the embarrassment this actually turns her on and they move to the next activity which is Kizuna making Aine climax in front of the entire school at an assembly (good God man when did you become so perverted!? Seriously, this is the same guy who in the first episode had no idea how to grope a girl now all of a sudden he’s a master at hentai situations. His transformation is startling). He manages to bring her to the climax hybrid but she gets scared as her memories return and couldn’t bring out her immoral weapon. The love room gets attacked so they head out side to see that everyone has been taken out by Zelshione captain of the royal guards and dominatrix who enjoys trapping people in their desires (Corbin: Do me next! Do me next) and nightmares (Corbin: I’ll take that risk). She manages to trap Aine in her memories leaving only Kizuna to fight her. He puts up a good fight but since the climax hybrid was incomplete (cut off at the peak of his climax) he’s no match for Zelshione until he receives a major boost from his harem who manage to wake up thanks to their memories with Kizuna (dude, you barely spent anytime with Hayuru so what memories does she have with you?). With this power up he goes Megaman on the us (Baron and Corbin: The eros robot) copying everyone’s powers and using those to push Zelshione to her limits until she goes into rage mode and tries to get Aine to kill Kizuna instead where thanks to her feelings and love for Kizuna she manages to break Zelshione’s hold on her and unlock her forbidden power which she uses to defeat and (presumably) kill Zelshione along with the rest of the magitechs. Not only that but she seals up the portal and snaps the people of Tokyo out of their illusion giving them the victory. We end the season with a mysterious girl appearing before them calling Aine her sister and them promising us a second season (Nitsuj and the Jack Bros.: YEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH).
Final Thoughts
So that was Masou Gakuen and I enjoyed myself. Going into this anime I knew it was going to be a fanservice fest and it delivers on what I expected to see in a fanservice fest. The fanservice in this series is amazing. It almost reaches the level of a hentai. While it’s true the characters are cliché, the story pretty basic, and the action a little on the generic side (although it shows the potential of being good near the end) I really can’t get too mad at it because this is what I was expecting to see in the anime so why would I get mad at an anime that gave me what I wanted and expected? The animation is alright as is the music. Nothing really stands out to me personally but nothing makes me dislike it either. I will say however that the interaction between Kizuna and some of the other characters could have been better. He does a good job developing a relationship with Aine, Yurishia, Sylvia, but Hayura could have been done better as we barely spend any time with her. Got anything you wanna add Jack Bros.?
(Baron): Great anime! No complains! Second season needs to come out now!
(Corbin): Going on my top 10 greatest animes of all-time list!
Final Score
Well if this anime is getting an approval from the Jacks, than we know it’s ecchi. Final score for Masou Gakuen HxH is a 6/10. While not the best anime it’s certainly one of the ecchiest anime I’ve seen and I’m looking forward to seeing where they go from here. There’s definitely a lot of questions that need to be answered and the ending showed that the show’s story had the potential to be something interesting. If you’re looking for something deep and thought provoking you won’t find it here but if you’re looking for some good fanservice, something that doesn’t require much thinking, and just have a good time watching it this anime is for you. Thanks for reading and we’ll see you next time on Project Nitsuj.
(Heinz): Impressive. Very impressive. Especially considering that this was your first time reviewing something Baron and Corbin.
(Corbin): Dah! He saw through it!
(Heinz): Obviously, did you really think I would be fooled so easily by my own brothers.
(Nitsuj): Brothers! You guys are related!?
(Heinz): Yes. My full name is Heinz Jack. I’m their older brother.
(Nitsuj): This explains so much.
(Baron): Please bro! Don’t send us back to the Principality of Jack!
(Corbin): I don’t wanna get beeped in the beeped!
(Heinz): Calm down you idiots. I didn’t come here to bring you guys back. I was just stopping by to see how you were doing. You guys could write to us to you know. Besides, even if I was here for an inspection who I would be asking is how you guys are doing? Are you eating healthy, what do you like about this world, what do you think sucks, and most importantly are you making friends? And just from seeing all of this I can tell you guys have made some very some good friends and are having a good time in this world. Anyone who’s willing to go along with this obvious cliché despite knowing the outcome is a good friend to hold close.
(Nitsuj): Thank you. Called it.
(Heinz): I must thank you Nitsuj. You and your assistants. My brothers were quite the troublemakers growing up and often had trouble making friends but you guys have accepted them whole-heartedly. I’m sure they’ll cause you trouble in the future but please look after them for me.
(Nitsuj): Leave it up to me Heinz.
(Heinz): Well I must be off. Duty calls. Baron. Corbin. Take care of yourselves and come visit sometimes. Let mom and dad know you’re doing alright.
(Corbin): Sure, we’ll plan a visit sometime this year.
(Heinz): Excellent. Well then, a good day to all of you.
*A portal opens and Heinz enter it disappearing from the house*
(Baron): Well I’m glad that’s over. Now to head home and find out the coordinates to Batlantis Empire.
(Nitsuj): Not so fast guys. You forgot the other part of this cliché.
(Corbin): What other part?
*All of sudden Mira comes out of nowhere and hits Corbin with an RKO. Yin-Yang and Seras also appear out of nowhere and hit Baron with superkicks. Chibi Isis sets up a table while Isis, Shizuku and Yume pick up the Jack Bros. to set them up for a double triple powerbomb through the table. After everything is set up the girls powerbomb the Jack Bros. through the table and Shizuku lets out a howl at their accomplishment before walking away with the others as Nitsuj approaches the Jack Bros.*
(Nitsuj): And with this the cliché is completed.
*Nitsuj leaves the room with a smile on his face*
