Hello and welcome to Project Nitsuj and welcome to second part of Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. We’re right in the middle of the school competition where criminal organizations are sabotaging the event for their own goals. Yeah, slow day for them. Let’s continue this story and see what happens next.
Opening and Ending Theme
The second opening is “Grilleto” by GARNiDELiA. Much like the first opening this song delivers on the intensity, excitement, and just matches up perfectly with this series. It’s really hard to pick which song is better but I have to go with the first opening. LiSA’s song had more musical layers and were executed perfectly.
The second ending is “Mirror” by Rei Yasuda. Now this ending was better than the first ending. The song is sung beautifully by Rei who just kills it on the vocals here and the song matches up perfectly with Miyuki’s character.
Episodes 14-18
Episode 14 starts off with Tatsuya and Miyuki meeting Third High School’s ace Ichijou the Crimson Prince (I’m guessing he’s a huge fan of the Crimson Chin or likes girls with crimson red hair) and his right hand man Kichijojo the boy genius known as Cardinal George (or at least I think he’s a boy). The two came to check out Tatsuya and see how they stack up to him (I’ll save you both sometime. He is way out of your lead, he’s gonna own both of you and you will both most likely cry. Scene here: https://youtu.be/InE-28dqvKM). The next day we find out that Miyuki, Shizuku, and some other girl have all placed first in the rookie ice breaking competition and are guaranteed first place but Shizuku wants to take on Miyuki in a one on one match (scene here: https://youtu.be/fdahH5Zp7HI, is this about getting a booty call from Tatsuya because if so I think Miyuki is gonna kill you). The match begins with Shizuku starting off strong but is quickly outmatched by Miyuki and loses (scene here: https://youtu.be/JPxojUsK8Hg, never stood a chance). After that, the group receives bad news (or in Futurama talk: https://youtu.be/7iYrLiaZUoM) the men’s rookie Monolith Code team have all been injured in a match and can’t participate in the competition anymore. Tatsuya and Mayumi believe its sabotage again and Tatsuya tells her that the culprits behind these sabotages is most likely the Hong Kong Mafia (oh so you mean the Triads? Scene here: https://youtu.be/PLfsQJB-Pks). Later on, Tatsuya is asked to be a substitute for the Monolith Code team and is asked to pick any two competitors he wants so he picks Mikihiko and Leo since he’s seen them fight and can come up with the perfect strategy with these two characters (why? You can probably win the whole thing by yourself. Scenes here: https://youtu.be/LOlD5LrHEWw and https://youtu.be/HkdaJR__HJ4).
In episode 15 we finally get to see Tatsuya in action in the game Monolith Code. The rules of the game are quite simple, you win the game by either unlocking the code on your opponent’s monolith or knocking out everyone on the opposing team (pretty much capture the flag only more fun. This needs to be a game). In the game you have three positions, the first one is the attacker who goes for the monolith, the defender who protects the monolith from the opposing team, and finally guerilla tactician whose job is to back up offense and defense, basically the supporter (again, this should be a video game, just add in more players and we have a decent video game). The competition begins with Tatsuya the attacker, Leo the defender using Tatsuya’s buster sword weapon, and Mikihiko the guerilla tactician because his magic is ancient magic, magic that doesn’t use a CAD making the spells stronger, mysterious, and perfect for surprise attacks and scouting (scene here: https://youtu.be/J00djxEasQI). This team pretty much dominates everyone they come across and make it to the finals where they’ll be facing off against Third High (scenes here: https://youtu.be/o9KpwIHr5JQ and https://youtu.be/_V8vEfu1USk, its Taurus Silver vs The Crimson Prince and Cardinal George. Place your bets). Also in the episode we find out that Erika is like Miyuki and has a brother complex on her older brother who just so happens to be dating Mari (scene here: https://youtu.be/VKWepmgro6o. Oh Mari why? I thought you were on team Tatsuya).
Episode 16 is the moment we’ve all been waiting for (and if you haven’t been waiting for this moment. Get out of here before I smack you). Tatsuya vs Ichijou, Taurus Silver vs The Crimson Prince, White vs Red, Class vs Swag, and God vs Prince all in the hopes of giving their schools the win. The episode delivers on the action (thank God for that, they’ve spent a good chunk talking about the action and now they finally deliver on it) by giving us an awesome gunfight between Tatsuya and Ichijou where we see Tatsuya still holding back and not go all out but the fight with Ichijou forces Tatsuya to start getting serious and use some high level magic spells to take on Ichijou. Tatsuya’s chance for victory comes when Ichijou accidently fires a series of attacks that could kill Tatsuya (you can’t kill badassness, you can’t even contain it) and one of those attacks hit Tatsuya and actually breaks a few bones and ribs in him (the spirit and soul may be badass but the flesh is spongy and bruised). But hey that doesn’t stop Tatsuya, he performs a self-healing spell on himself and recovers getting within close range of Ichijou where he punctures one of his eardrums, snaps his finger, and unleashes a powerful supersonic wave that knocks Ichijou out (scenes here: https://youtu.be/fxh8uN6uuKYm, https://youtu.be/hbcTAOogf4s, and https://youtu.be/FBSHiHZG5ow. That. Was. O. P). Even Leo and Mikihiko get their moments in the episode. Mikihiko takes on Kichijojo all by himself, manages to overcome his limitations and take Kichijojo down all by himself (scene here: https://youtu.be/6b1eCtpKlTk, way to be a man Mikihiko). But in the end it’s Leo who steals the show by taking out the no-name player of Third High (I feel so bad for him, everybody on the field is pretty well known but he’s just a no-name extra character who’s only purpose is to lose) and giving First High the win (scene here: https://youtu.be/UEX2qGay-eo, this episode kicked so much ass).
Not much happens in episode 17. The Triads are now scared because with the victory from last episode First High is almost guaranteed to win the whole thing. All they have to do is place first place in Mirage Bat and the Triads will lose over 100,000,000 dollars (and that’s only in US dollars in yen it’ll be even more). So they decide to screw subtlety and just do whatever means necessary to stop First High from winning. They sabotage one of the representatives of First High in the first round of Mirage Bat which I forgot to talk about. In the game the girls dress up as magical girls (I’m not joking, they literally have wands and everything) use jumping magic to jump into the air and hit these colored balls with their wands. Each color represents a different number of points and the person with the most points at the end of the match is the winner (sounds like something out of a Mario Party game. Scene here: https://youtu.be/ip6OjZ65WTQ). After the sabotage, Tatsuya goes to get Miyuki’s CAD analyzed to make sure nothing is wrong with it and that the same thing won’t happen to her. As he’s getting it checked out he finds out that the inspector is the guy responsible for the sabotage and that he was secretly trying to infect Miyuki’s CAD with a virus that would cause her CAD to malfunction and put her in a dangerous situation (are you out of your mind man? You just tried to hurt the OP badass’ little sister and need I remind you that the guy is very protected of his sister. This is like…actually I don’t know what this is like because it’s that bad). Tatsuya sees this, grabs the guy by the neck, and throws him on the ground demanding to know what the hell he’s doing and through all of this Tatsuya actually shows rage (emotion! I’m sorry, it’s just rare to see that in his character), I think Tatsuya was seconds away from killing this guy and I think it was just gonna be for the sole purpose of the guy threatening to hurt his sister. Security comes in and Tatsuya regains his composure where he tells them what happened and the chairman of the whole tournament allows Tatsuya to use a back-up CAD with no check-in required (scene here: https://youtu.be/QvTga5IeEuk). The semi-finals of Mirage Bat begins with Miyuki using Tatsuya’s flying spell stunning the whole audience (scene here: https://youtu.be/DydB_7NxgyI, okay this is cheating. I’m sorry but that’s just cheating). While her match is going on, the Triads try once again to stop the tournament by sending in a genetically enhanced human (Scott Steiner?) to massacre the audience (geez these guys are going overboard aren’t they. I don’t like paying taxes but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna blow up the IRS building. I’m just secretly going to call them colorful names under my breath). But the Scott Steiner clone doesn’t get far in his massacre as a few of Tatsuya’s military friends are in the audience and quickly take out the freak before he kills anyone (scene here: https://youtu.be/yI2jZeaP460). In the final round of Mirage Bat the committee examined the flying spell and leaked the information to the other teams so now all the competitors can use the flying spell (alright even playing field now). But even with everyone on equal terms the other competitors are no match for Miyuki and in the end she wins (scene here: https://youtu.be/fIHWHiLGBiI).
Episode 18 turns out to be pretty badass episode. First off, Tatsuya uses his connections to find the hideout of the No-Head Dragons top executives and when he goes to the place he unleashes the Gates of Hell on all of them (with him as the Grim Reaper). He snipes off every last one of them from a faraway building and he doesn’t just kill them (that would have been merciful) he destroys them to the point that there’s nothing left of them (and the lesson here is don’t screw with his little sister). Hell, he even calls them on a private line and talks to them as he’s killing them off telling them that everything they’re trying to do to escape is meaningless (scenes here: https://youtu.be/LBR8fbprEwE and https://youtu.be/BR_8B-Rosbg, this guy is even more merciless than me. This like Alucard level merciless). The next day First High’s other Monolith team wins their bracket and thus First High wins the whole tournament. That night, they celebrate big by giving us the cheapest and one of the most poorly done CGI dancing I have ever seen in an anime (what the hell Madhouse?). I’m sorry but the dancing characters in the opening minutes of the dance are just terrible. My God, it’s so cheap and poorly done that I honestly have a hard time watching. Come on Madhouse, you guys are better than this. You’re one of the best studios out there you don’t need to cut corners on your animes. Luckily, they save this scene by going back to the 2D figures where Ichijou wants to dance with Miyuki because he has a thing for her (you wanna date Tatsuya’s little sister? You poor bastard) and discovers that Tatsuya and Miyuki are siblings (how awkward must he be feeling right now?). Tatsuya also shows off his dance moves by dancing with 4 different girls at the party (scene here: https://youtu.be/XZYy2oYtPjM, so one night ago this guy just killed a room of criminals making it look easy and now he’s dancing with 4 different girls who obviously have crushes on him. Is this guy the illegitimate child of James Bond because that would explain so much?). After the dancing Jumonji takes Tatsuya away where he warns him that by defeating Ichijou who we find out is the next leader of the 10 Clans who pretty much control Japan he’s made the 10 clans look weak and has them scared. Jumonji, coming from one of the 10 Clans tells Tatsuya to marry Mayumi so that he can join the 10 Clans and be the next guy in charge of them (I am so on board with this idea). After their talk Miyuki shows up (I’m surprise she didn’t go berserk after seeing her brother dance with all those girls) and does the last dance of the night with Tatsuya out in the garden where they can be alone (scene here: https://youtu.be/GRTZvQ74lK0).
Episodes 19-22
Episode 19 opens up with Tatsuya researching the Philosopher Stone (hopefully to bring back his emotions) when Miyuki comes to get him because one of the teachers wants Tatsuya to join the Thesis team a team that will be working on a thesis paper for a competition going on between the schools (who the hell wants to do that?). Tatsuya agrees to join them since the subject they’re talking about is a subject he’s familiar with and has an interest in it (scenes here: https://youtu.be/45H3-J-imCw and https://youtu.be/D7XVjfFCt9Q). Later on, Tatsuya and Miyuki arrive home where their stepmother (who is a milf) wants Tatsuya’s help to help replicate what’s known as the Nino Magatama a relic that is said to have the power to store magical sequences in it (really? Storing magic sequences into stuff hasn’t been developed yet? That’s actually quite shocking). The military wants use this power to help strengthen their forces and eliminate the possible reliance on magicians. Tatsuya tells her that even with his powers the chances of them being able to replicate the magatama are slim at best and this is all assuming the magatama can store magical sequences (if Tatsuya say it’s possible than chances are he’s right). After hearing this she gets frustrated and leaves with the magatama in hand deciding to handle it by herself. As she’s driving down the road in her ladybug car (I’m not kidding, you know those really small and cramped cars you see people driving on the road? Well apparently those cars are still around) she gets taken out by some engrish speaking operatives but Tatsuya is there to save her. One of them even snipes Tatsuya from afar (well that guy’s gonna die) but he recovers from it instantly and kills the sniper (scenes here: https://youtu.be/7xguzEWtyzE, and https://youtu.be/1hUUTWkSfaI). After that Tatsuya takes his stepmom to the hospital (I think so they never really tell us) and keeps the magatama in his position where he hopes he can find a peaceful use for it (scene here: https://youtu.be/5rbpDGmX7VQ).
Episode 20 starts off on a fun note with Tatsuya and Mayumi. While the two are talking in a cramped study booth Mayumi tries to flirt with Tatsuya who ignores her passes because of the surveillance cameras in the booth (wow, so somebody in the past actually used the booths to have sex?) but he does tell her (with a straight face) that if the cameras weren’t there he wouldn’t hesitate to take her right then and there (scene here: https://youtu.be/hm0NNs3hezM, and all the fangirls just jizzed their panties). After that somebody tries to hack Tatsuya’s home system trying to find information about the thesis his team is working on (man they take their competition seriously in the future) but he stops the attack. The next day at school he finds out one of his teammates was also hacked and Mari tells them that during this time of the thesis other organizations attack the schools to get information on the important documents the students are using as sources for their thesis (scene here: https://youtu.be/im91fzuG3AU). They get assigned bodyguards except for Tatsuya who says he needs no bodyguard (understatement of the anime) and as he’s out with another student working on the thesis he notices a spy watching them. The spy gets away but the organization that sent her pulls her out of mission and sends backup in the form of Lu Gonghu the man-eating tiger (scene here: https://youtu.be/foUFphPXX9E). After that, while Tatsuya is out having tea with his friends; Erika, Leo, and Mikihiko sense someone following them so Mikihiko sets up a barrier while Erika and Leo go to take down the stalker themselves. They take down the stalker and find out that his name is Jiro a spy from the west sent to spy on the development of magic in the country (you are losing. That’s about all I can say. He escapes from the two (scenes here: https://youtu.be/H8Jr8Gj7D3M and https://youtu.be/a4sKEhv_sTc) only to be taken out by Lu in the back of an alley to end the episode (scene here: https://youtu.be/db3M-8HIz0Y).
In episode 21 we find out that the hacker is a 1st year by the name of Chiaki Hirakawa the sister of Koharu who was originally supposed to be on thesis team for First High but dropped out due to her losing her will to continue because one of the students who got hurt in Mirage Bat during the last arc, she was the engineer for that student and blames herself for that incident (didn’t you hear it was the Triads’ fault and not yours, get over it). Chiaki blames Tatsuya for her sister’s downfall so she takes it upon herself to make sure Tatsuya fails in the competition (you can’t make him fail. He is unfailable). She tries to escape from the students pursuing her but Leo spears her knocking her out (scene here: https://youtu.be/YsdnGATq6zU. Damn son, you tried to tear that girl in two didn’t you? Come over here and play football). They try to convince her to stop going after Tatsuya saying it’s not his fault (that and he could squash her with just his index finger) but she refuses so they decide to hold her in confinement until the competition is over. For the rest of the episodes we focus on are two couples this anime is developing (and no, Tatsuya and Miyuki don’t count you sickos). Erika and Leo decide to take on the role of bodyguards, watch Tatsuya’s back, and go after the group trying to sabotage Tatsuya themselves (why? Tatsuya’s already gotta plan cooked up for them). Erika gives Leo some training at her family dojo so that he can learn a sure-kill move should the need arise for him to actually kill someone (just have him spear someone with all his might). When they hit a bump in their training Erika thinks they should ask Tatsuya for help but Leo says he wants to do this himself otherwise its meaningless (scenes here: https://youtu.be/hs0UKosN_pc and https://youtu.be/l0jH1aTQAI8, well said Leo. You are a true man). The other couple we focus is Mikihiko and Mizuki near the end of the episode. We see that the two over the course of the show have developed somewhat of a romantic interest in each other but are too shy to tell each other (young puppy love). While delivery snacks for athletic federation members are serving as bodyguards for the thesis competition Mizuki trips and gets saved by Mikihiko who gets a hand full of boob while saving her (that’s a lot of meat). This of course shocks the both of them and Mizuki tries to run away only to trip and hike up her skirt for everyone to see (woooo~) and she runs away while being chased by Mikihiko who runs into a mysterious shadowy figure (scene here: https://youtu.be/JkS1tj0_PtQ, obvious villain has arrived).
Episode 22 goes by really fast. First off Tatsuya and Miyuki drop the magatama at Tatsuya’s business office for safe keeping which just happens to be under a hacking attack (you sure this is a safe spot Tatsuya? I think it’s best to keep it in your hands since you’ve pretty much proven you’re bullet proof). After that Tatsuya goes to school to do some work in the robotic club room where he discovers that the room have been filled with sleeping gas by a student named Isao who was the real hacker trying sabotage the school in the Thesis competition. He enters the club thinking Tatsuya is knocked out but he gets cornered instead and gets arrested (scene here: https://youtu.be/OVpkJBSxayI. His first mistake, thinking he could take down Tatsuya with sleeping gas). The organization that’s keeps trying to sabotage Tatsuya sends Lu Gonghu to take out Chiaki since they want no loose ends. He arrives at the hospital where Chiaki is being kept and a mysterious man by the name of Zhou pulls the rioting alarm (we could use that in today’s world) alerting Mari and Naotsugu. Naotsugu and Mari take Lu Gonghu on where they put up a good fight and force him to retreat but Naotsugu gets his arm injured a little (scene here: https://youtu.be/WTN3HNhn4-8). Zhou manages to get into Chiaki’s room to offer her roses (she’s a little young for you man) and uses some kind of spell that erases her memories. The next day Tatsuya, Mari, and Mayumi go to interrogate Isao but Lu Gonghu shows up to kill Isao (okay security sucks in this anime). The three take him on where they beat and capture him and get information on the organization that’s been after them (scene here: https://youtu.be/bLPy1mP6kDQ). Thanks to that information Tatsuya’s government buddies were able to round up a majority of the members but the leader got away unfortunately however this is still a win in their book. Relieved by this information Tatsuya falls asleep on the couch where Miyuki tries to kiss him but he wakes up (no romantic feelings my ass! Just admit it, you want him to plow you over and over. It’s so obvious). Feeling embarrassed she runs back to her room where Tatsuya apologizes for making her worry (worry about what!? If anything she should be apologizing for having incest thoughts about you). She goes to bead wearing nothing but her underwear (well that’s just good anime right there) having thoughts about her brother (scene here: https://youtu.be/pz0ekzOTr44, and that’s where I take my leave stage left).
Episodes 23-26
Episode 23 just serves as build-up for what’s to come. Leader of the group that’s been trying so hard to sabotage Tatsuya goes to Zhou for help and he’s more than happy to help. The day of the thesis competition has arrived (geez, look at all the nerds) and First High is excited to introduce their project Gravity control-type Thermonuclear reactor (scene here: https://youtu.be/3J-n_V4tOVs. Yeah, I’m not even gonna try to explain any of this and Mira’s out at the moment). We get to see Ichijou again who’s working as security for the competition where he tells Tatsuya he looks forward to their rematch (translation: I swear, I will end you next time and make Miyuki mine). As First High gives their presentation everyone can feel a disturbance in the air and waiting for it to go off (everyone in the room has a firework and everyone is waiting to see who’s gonna light theirs off first), Zhou helps Lu Gonghu escape prison, and security is wearing bullet proof vest as they patrol (let’s start this barbeque). After First High finishes their presentation, Third High led by Kichijojo himself takes the stage telling Tatsuya he’s going to win this time and as he’s preparing for his presentation the building begins to shake (here it comes~).
In episode 24 the conference as well as Yokohama gets attacked by terrorists (I don’t know if they’re foreign or local but they are all gonna die). The terrorist come in holding the students at gunpoint hoping to take them hostage (why should they be afraid they all know magic and they got numbers). One of the terrorist stupidly points a gun at Tatsuya (you poor bastard) and tries to shoot him but Tatsuya catches all the bullets and chops that guy’s arm off getting blood all over his uniform and not flinching. After Miyuki cleans him up he (scene here: https://youtu.be/sBCqsNR9pOI) and his friends go to the lobby to take out the terrorist where Tatsuya again kills like 2 people just for pointing a gun at him (scene here: https://youtu.be/03RB9yHAl7k). They secure the building and students evacuate to the shelter using the underground passage way while Tatsuya and his friends stay behind to delete the data on projects and get a scope on the whole situation. It turns out that the terrorists have control over the harbor and backup troops won’t be arriving for another 10 minutes (that’s 8 more minutes than Tatsuya needs to solve this situation). The terrorists begin launching missiles on the city and JDSF (the organization Tatsuya secretly works for) is called in to handle the situation with Tatsuya being asked to assist them in front of all his friends exposing to everyone that he is in fact a soldier (scene here: https://youtu.be/mWLXi4dfMWU. Don’t know why they’re surprised it should have been obvious). Before Tatsuya goes to suit up for battle Miyuki kisses him on the forehead (you were aiming for his lips weren’t you?) giving him free rein (scene here: https://youtu.be/ZZLpnAg6x_Q, those terrorists have no idea what they’ve gotten themselves into).
The action just keeps on coming in episode 25. The students manage to reach the underground shelter but the passage way to it gets destroyed so a few of the students (namely the ones who are Tatsuya’s friend and the only people who I remember) are left behind with the civilians at different locations and have to stand their ground and fight until the helicopters come and pick them up. In the city Ichijou joins up with the military to protect his classmates and take out the terrorist using his gun to make their intestines explode on them (damn), Jumonji rallies the magicians in the city to fight back and protect their homeland (I think this guy has a future in the military he has this really imposing figure). Tatsuya gets his badass Iron Man suit and begins flying all over the city taking out drones, protecting his friends, and just being a badass. Hell, he even brings to his classmates back from the dead (it’s official, he’s a god. Tatsuya is a god no one can hold a candle to this guy. He can destroy anything in his path and revive people whenever he wants. There’s no character out there in the anime universe who comes close to matching this guy in goodlihood). He helps his friends and Miyuki escape safely and flies off to deal with the terrorists.
The final episode just showcases how badass Tatsuya is. We start off by finding out that Tatsuya’s revival spell has a drawback (obviously). It turns out that in exchange for reviving them Tatsuya feels 150 times the pain the person he revived feels (so it’s either let your comrade die or revive him feeling 150 times the pain he feels. Tough call). While Tatsuya is busy saving the city destroying tanks and killing terrorist (and being a badass), the leader of the terrorist group along with Lu Gonghu attack Yokohama’s Magic Association’s Branch office. Miyuki and the others see this and stop them with Miyuki freezing the leader of the terrorist and the others killing Lu Gonghu in a well strategized attacked. The terrorists begin to retreat out to sea but Tatsuya is given a rare super sniper rifle called Third Eye which destroys their ship in the blink of an eye (they never stood a chance). After that Tatsuya and the rest of the army are sent to take out the rest of the terrorists group which is preparing to leave via navy at another port. Their plan, give Tatsuya the Third Eye, tell him where they’re located, and have him obliterate them out in one shot (didn’t want to waste anymore ammo). We end the season with Tatsuya returning home and getting a loving hug from his sister who secretly wants to bang him.
Final Thoughts
So that was Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei and I really did like this anime but I can see where the complicated feelings come in at. The characters are all good. While some characters stand out more than others, I think the ones we focus on are good. Hands down the best character is Tatsuya who is pretty much god-tier in this anime. His skills are off the chart and he comes across as the Jesus of anime characters. I do give credit to Yuuichi who gives this character zero emotion in his voice but still manages to give Tatsuya a lot of personality. He’s calm, cool, collective, and even though he doesn’t show it, cares deeply for his sister and friends. I did enjoy the core cast of Miyuri, Erika, Leo, Mikihiko, Mayumi, Honoka, Shizuku, and Mizuki. A few of the other characters are forgetful and I really wish would have had more screentime to develop. The action is cool and the magic is done incredibly well. I will admit the anime can go into exposition too much at times but to be fair the exposition does explain the scientific side of the magic so give them credit for actually explaining how it works instead of just giving magic as the explanation. But with that said it can be confusing, hard to follow at times, and can go on for too long at some parts. The story for the most part is good and this futuristic world is honestly something I can see what the world would look like in the future. It’s technologically advanced but not too advanced to the point where the world becomes unrecognizable. Speaking of the world, I have to admit they do drop the ball on not exploring this world as much as they should. We never get a chance to learn about the advancements of other countries, get an idea on the 10 clans, and explore the backstory of Tatsuya and how he became the way he is now. There’s also a few plotholes and storylines that don’t get a proper end or explanation. The animation is good for the most part although the CGI could have been improved upon and the soundtrack is really enjoyable. I did like the range of songs and genres that they had throughout the anime.
Final Score
The final score for Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei is an 8.5/10 with a must watch stamp of approval. While it has a few complicated issues I really don’t see this as a bland or forgetful anime. It’s interesting and a good watch for anyone interested in sci-fi/magic anime. There’s a lot of talking but it’s interesting talking that tries to be unique and bring scientific logic to a world that has magic. I really do wish there was a second season of this anime as they really do deserve it. I guess I’ll have to just stick with tracking down the light novels and rewatching clips from the anime. Thanks for reading everyone and I’ll see you next time on Project Nitsuj.
