Hello and welcome to Project Nitsuj. Well this is it, the final installment of the Ikkitousen arc and you know what? I’m actually forward to it. Yeah, I mean the first three seasons were awful but it’s the fourth season I’m sure by now they saw all the mistakes of the previous seasons and made the right adjustments. *12 episodes later* Arrgh it sucks it sucks so much! Yeah Xtreme Xecutor is the sequel to the unnecessary sequel to the unnecessary sequel and one of those “what the hell were they thinking” moments in anime. This time under the production of TNK the same people who made Highschool DxD this anime came out in 2010 introducing new characters for the series because this series needed more people to not care about. Well let’s finish the Ikkitousen arc strong and take a look at the abomination known as Xtreme Xecutor.
Opening and Ending Theme
The opening for this season is “Stargazer” by Yuka Masuda. Kinda of in the neutral zone on this one. It’s got a good instrumental accompaniment but the singer isn’t all that good. Don’t get me wrong she’s a good singer but her voice is getting drowned out by the music for some parts. Not sure if that’s the studios fault or if it’s her fault for singing too quietly. Just like the other openings the song is fast-paced and gets you excited for the anime. Though how you could be excited watching this pile of dick is beyond me. The ending is “Endless Soul” by Masumi Asano and Aya Endo. This is another fast-paced song and one that I didn’t like. Once again the music is louder than the singers at some parts of the song only this time I can tell that this was the singers’ fault because they are in fact singing rather quietly. They sound good but they’re singing quietly. Also this really doesn’t sound like a good ending theme. The theme should be quiet and peaceful like the themes from Dragon Destiny and Great Guardian.
Episodes 1-4
We begin the season by recapping the events from the first two seasons (oh good my nightmares return to haunt me in the day now). Actually, the most ridiculous part about this recap is that it shows the events that happen in the two seasons but not in the way they happen. For example Ryofu kills Totaktu by throwing herself and him off a cliff. She also has a motorcycle for some reason. Why the change? Did TNK see how stupid the first seasons were and decided to make their own footage or were they just cheap bastards who didn’t want to pay for the stock footage? Anyway, after the recap we see a freshman girl named Bachou who goes to a new school called Ryoshu High and much like Hakufu she too is an idiot who is as dumb as rocks (*grabs samurai sword* Isis be on standby in case I try to take my life). She’s on her way to Kyosho academy to kill Sousou who she believes is responsible for killing her older brother. She beats up the guards and gets into the school with ease beating up all the no-name fighters along the way but she gets taken out with one kick by one of the higher rank fighters (wow, dumb as Hakufu and weak as Koukin, this character is getting the shaft isn’t she). She wonders the streets in the rain sad and frustrated that she lost and comes to the realization that she has to get stronger. As she’s about to faint in the rain Ryuubi comes along to help her to end the episode (Panty count: 800).
We go to the next morning in episode 2 where we see that Ryuubi has brought Bachou back to her place (well someone had a fun night). After that nothing much really happens. We get a short flashback showing how Ryuubi, Chouhi, and Kanu first met. When Ryuubi and Chouhi were making their way to Seito they were attack by these transvestite students who knocked Chouhi out and burned all of Ryuubi’s books that she cherished. But luckily Kanu swooped in and saves them from the transvestites. After the story Bachou kidnaps Ryuubi and takes her into town to hangout but they get jumped by some gangbangers. Bachou tries to fight by kicking one of them in the nuts but they’re all wearing cups (clearly someone has done this before in the past). When all seems lost Hakufu stumbles upon them and beats them up single-handedly. Impressed by her strength Bachou bows her head and begs Hakufu to train her (Panty count: 814).
In episode 3 we open with Teni begging God to bring Shibai back (I’m pretty sure she’s not in Heaven given what she wanted to do) and as she’s praying a black cloaked figure calling itself Kentei who is the main antagonist of the season appears before her and she sheds tears of joy saying that Shibai has returned (side note: we’re not entirely sure if is Shibai or not but we’re led to assume it’s Shibai since Teni follows it so eagerly). Kentei than goes to an abandoned building where it recruits two new fighters Moukaku and Mouyu who are sisters (yet they look nothing alike and one of them is dark-skinned. They also look nothing like high school students but then again nobody else does so I think they’ll fit in) and rulers of Nanban High who wanted to conquer Kanto but were stopped due to Sousou, Hakufu, and Ryuubi appearing. Going back to Bachou, Hakufu accepts her as her student after she punched Gakushu in the stomach (I don’t get it either, she’s an idiot so just roll with it). So for a few days Hakufu just uses Bachou as her gofer not taking the whole teacher thing seriously and Bachou blindly believing that what she’s doing will make her stonger (the stupid being led by the stupider). After watching martial arts movie Hakufu creates a robot dummy for Bachou to fight against (and if you can believe it it actually works). While that’s going on the schools receive a letter from Kentei inviting them to a tournament being held at Nanban High. While the schools are suspicious they decide to participate anyway. Seito sends Kanu and Chouhi as their representatives (I’m already cheering for them), Kyoshu sends two new fighters to represent them, one is Chukou a tall and silent female fighter who has the biggest bust size out of all female fighters (99cm in circumference) and a childhood friend of Sousou who saved her from some bullies when she was a kid and has since then been loyal to him. The other is a tomboyish girl named Shikou who gets mad easily and is considered the captain of the guards at Kyoshu. Nanyo sends Ryomou who is wearing her maid outfit for the trip (. . . I give up. Fuck it. Do what you wanna do anime) and Hakufu. They go to the pier to get on the boat for the trip but Hakufu has fallen asleep on the train and is going to miss the boat (Panty count: 837).
(Nitsuj): Okay, I can’t do it anymore *grabs the samurai sword* goodbye folks thanks for reading *gets shocked by a stun gun*.
(Isis): And what do you think you’re doing?
(Nitsuj): I can’t take it anymore Isis. She fell asleep on a train and missed the tournament. Our main character is so stupid and absent-minded that she gets on the wrong train, falls asleep and misses the tournament. I. . .I can’t handle that much stupidity. There is no sense in continuing this shit.
(Isis): Listen to your senses troll *smacks Nitsuj*! You’re the goddamn Nitsuj, reviewer of anime, watcher of anime, and the voice of anime! If you can’t show the world how ridiculous this anime is than who will? You have to review troll review not just for the anime community but for all of us.
(Nitsuj): By god you’re right Isis. I started this gig to help people find anime to watch, give them a second opinion, and warn them about animes. If I don’t show how awful this anime is than some other poor bastard will suffer through it.
(Isis): Exactly. Now review troll review not just for the anime community but for all of us.
(Nitsuj): And review I shall.
In episode 4 Koukin takes Hakufu’s spot in the tournament and Bachou sneaks aboard the ship. As their traveling their ship stops and they sail into mist (watch yourself laddies, she’ll be here soon I tell ya) where they get attacked by students by Nanban academy. As for Hakufu, since she can’t go to the tournament she decides to go and visit Chubou. Also Mouyu shows up at Seito academy to assassinate Ryuubi but quickly retreats after fighting Shiryu who is butt-naked during their fight (and they’ve reach the lowesr point of their fight scenes, they weren’t all that good to watch to begin with so they decided to just go straight to smut and hope all premature teens who are too young to watch this show jack off to it. Panty count: 844).
Episodes 5-8
In episode 5 the group gets attacked by a group of students of Nanban being led by Teni who has received a power upgrade from Kentei. Kanu gets shot by arrows protecting Bachou and falls into the ocean with Chouhi going after her. The rest of the group gets captured and taken to the island where Nanban High is (man a school on an island in the middle of nowhere that’s gotta be one hell of a commute. Also, what’s with all the students looking like natives? You’re not stranded on the island guys, you can leave whenever you want). On the island Bachou and Chukou escape and we find out that Chouhi and Kanu wash up on some other island. We quickly see that Kanu has lost her eyesight because of the arrow shots and the two get attacked by Moukaku who injures Chouhi seriously forcing Kanu to surrender herself in order to save her (it’s a madhouse I tell you a mad house! Panty count: 858).
Continuing in episode 6 Kentei sends a letter to all the schools asking them to surrender (well at least he’s being polite). Sousou refuses to give up and he contacts Hakufu telepathically (yeah they can do that now. Never explained how they learned to do that but they can do it now. Continuity’s a bitch) and tells her to get off her lazy dumb ass and go save the others (okay, he doesn’t really say that but trust me he should have). She does this and heads back home. Meanwhile on the island Kanu meets Kentei and forces her to fight a tiger that has been enhanced with magic (I don’t know) and is apparently a highlander since Kanu smashed the damn thing’s skull but it got back up and fought her tearing her clothes apart (of course the tiger is a pervert but since it’s Kanu I don’t blame him). Finally, at Seito Mouyu captures Ryuubi off screen and demands a one-on-one with Shiryu with Seito on the line (and the loser has to strip naked but given the footage we’ve seen in this anime that’s not really a punishment). Shiryu beats Mouyu in a fight that we never get to see (you know for an anime that has martial arts listed as one of its genres I’m really not seeing a whole lot of it. Well none of it that’s really good). After being defeated Mouyu surrenders and is about to tell them everything she knows about Kentei but wolves show up and Shiryu senses a powerful enemy approaching. An enemy so powerful it forces her to open her eyes (oh shit, it’s about to get serious up in here. Panty count: 876).
We continue where we left off in episode 7 with Ryuubi, Koumei, and Kochu running in the woods with Mouyu trying to escape while Shiryu holds off the wolves. In the woods they’re being chased by one of the fighters from Nanban called Daio who takes out Mouyu and Kochu which causes Ryuubi to unleash her dragon (which I remind you she can’t control) and breaks the ground causing her and Koumei to fall into a canyon where they get saved by Hakufu (how did she know they were gonna be there? Did her dragon telepathy tell her or something? I’m sorry, I’m still on that). Gakushu also shows up and takes down Daio with one punch but Kentei gives him more power which transforms him into a beast but Ryuubi uses her dragon powers to kill him (wow, she actually did something useful for once). But, her mind and body contradict one another on her using her dragon powers and turns her into stone with the only being able to return her back to normal is Kanu (love, hot lesbian love). So the next day Hakufu along with a few other fighters get on a boat from Kyoshu who are sending none of their fighters with them (oh harsh, two of your fellow students are on that island man get your ass on that boat and save them) and get ready to head off to Nanban High to take down Kentei. Genjou also gives Hakufu a sword courtesy of Sousou (oh good, give the idiot girl a dangerous object I’m sure that won’t come back to hurt us). As for Bachou and Chukou they managed to sneak their way into the school and. . .nothing else somehow these two have been rendered even more useless in this anime (Panty count: 891).
In episode 8 Kanu falls prey to her ancestral instincts and becomes a fighter determined to kill Ryomou who is responsible for killing Kanu in the past. Kentei has Ryomou fight Kanu and the two engage in a fight. While that’s going on Bachou and Chukou get separated inside the school and Bachou reunites with Hakufu who also got separated from the other fighters when they arrived at Nanban (these two are worse than Zoro at getting lost). The two reunite in the trash room where a giant snake comes out and attacks them (Snake: Oh~ two girls this time. Looks like fate is smiling on me today. Wait till my cousin from Senran Kagura here’s about this). Bachou turns into a straight up coward since she’s afraid of snakes and can’t fight them but Hakufu reminds her of her training and she overcomes her fears to fight the snake with Hakufu and decapitates it (decapitation~. Panty count: 927).
Episodes 9-12
We start off episode 9 with a flashback (we just saw a giant snake get decapitated in the last episode. You can’t just toss that scene under the rug and just go to a flashback. Have priorities and timing anime. Priorities and timing). Anyway, we see in the flashback how Rymou got that dragon in her left eye (finally, it took you guys two seasons to explain this). We see how Saji slept around with Ryofu behind Rymou’s back (*smacks forehead* I know I’m gonna sound like a broken record but why do you like this guy again? Seriously, he is a man whore who manipulates, lies, and uses you. And you want this piece of trash to take your virginity!? Shit, I know all the guys in this anime are useless and he’s probably the only one who is the only decent looking one but in all seriousness you be better off going the lesbian route and getting with Kanu). Okay, getting back to the flashback Ryomou here’s about a meeting going on to take down Toutaku, when she gets there she sees a lot of students running away in fear of Kanu who has allowed her ancestral instincts to control her and is going berserk. The spirit inside of Kanu grabs Ryomou and transfers his hatred for what Ryomou did to her 1800 years (Ryomou killed Kanu in the past) and it creates the dragon that now resides in her left eye which will continue to grow and eventually destroy Ryomou from within. Getting back to the present we see Hakufu and Bachou sneaking around the school under the disguise of a horse (*picks up samurai sword* AHHHH~ too much stupidity *Isis shocks me with stun gun* DAHHHH~ *falls to ground* (Isis): keep going you’re almost done). Eventually, they run into Chukou and free the others (really guys, you got captured in episode 4 and it took you 5 episodes to escape? Are you guys really the reincarnations of China’s greatest fighters). Meanwhile on the other half of the rescue team they find out that Kentei is planning to resurrect dead people beneath the school and the reason she hosted this tournament in the first place was because she needed the blood from fighters to bring them back (okay we know what the plan is but why is Kentei doing this, why does he/she hate fighters so much, what does he/she plan on doing with these zombies, and why is the blood of fighters necessary to bring back said zombies? In other words what the FUCK is your motivation for doing all!? We’re 9 episodes into this shit and I still can’t explain to you what the antagonist is plotting and why they’re doing this). Going back to Hakufu’s team they try to make their way to the arena to try and stop Ryomou and Kanu from killing each other but the students (or tribemen as I like to call them) get in their way forcing Chouhi to continue on alone while the others hold the tribemen off but she gets stopped by Moukaku and we end with them getting ready to fight each other (Panty count: 943).
In episode 10 a lot of things happen but at the same time not a whole lot happens if that makes sense. Okay first off Hakufu’s team gets done beating up the tribemen but they get attacked by Teni who uses explosive arrows to bury Hakufu and Koukin under a pile of rocks and Bachou goes to take her on herself. Later we find out that Koukin is alright because Hakufu shielded him from the crushing rocks and took the hits for him losing consciousness and not waking up even when the others dig them out (Worst. Bodyguard. Ever). Chouhi manages to defeat Moukaku who despite delivering multiple kicks to the head and smashing Chouhi into a stone statue went down with one hit to the stomach. Back in the fight with Ryomou and Kanu (man these two have been fighting for a while now, it’s starting to feel like the Dragonball Z anime. Except the fighting isn’t all that great and instead of just standing still and powering up the characters just do boring monologue with each other) Shiryu shows up and fights Kanu in place of Ryomou who has fallen but wakes back up and after hearing a speech from Shiryu about how they’re fighting to change their fate Ryomou admits that all this time she has been afraid of her fate (could of fooled me patch maid) and now is ready to fight to go against her fate and change it (Panty count: 982).
Episode 11 just has me saying “What the hell is going on? Will you guys explain to me what is happening”? I’m not kidding when I say this, nothing that happens in this episode is explained to us whatsoever. We see that with Ryomou’s power she manages to bring Kanu back to her senses and we see that Kanu can see again. That’s cool and everything but how did Rymou’s powers snap Kanu out of her evil senses, when did her sight come back, did it come back during the fight or was it thanks to Rymou’s power that it came back? Bachou manages to beat Teni by making her fall into the forest below the school even though she tried to save her. Kanu manages to break Kentei’s mask to reveal that Kentei is actually Shibai who has been reborn. How was she reborn and what has she been doing all this time between her death in the 2nd season and the 3rd season? Shibai traps Ryomou, Kanu, and Shiryu in tree vines and is about to kill to them but Hakufu comes in who has reawakened herself thanks to the powers of the dragon inside her and takes on Shibai herself. How did her dragon powers heal her, could she always do this if so why didn’t she do this sooner when the rocks crushed her in episode 10, and how did she become so skillful in using a sword when all we’ve seen her do is fight with her fists and has shown no signs or hints at being able to use a sword in the past whatsoever? She manages to break Shibai’s armor and sword in a fight scene (that we never fully see because the anime decides to show us what the other characters are up to and assume we care more about them than the actual fight scene) and refuses to kill her saying that she’s a fighter not out to kill others but to fight them and become stronger (you are staring at an abomination that is trying to destroy the world with a zombie army. You have done nothing redeeming throughout the entire series but you have a chance to be awesome for once. So please, do it for me and take your sword and send the damn bitch back to hell where she belongs). Shibai senses that her zombie army has been destroyed, admits defeat, and just vanishes saying that she will be reborn to kill the fighters at another time (yeah, sure, whatever. Throughout this entire episode all I’m thinking about is this: https://youtu.be/OD0v9kvlMOA. Panty count: 1011. I told you we would break 1000).
In final episode someone wearing a mask is going around killing fighters. When the killer targets Ryuubi, Bachou shows up to fight her. We find out that it’s actually Teni who has become possessed by Shibai. Shibai tries to get Bachou to join her by showing that she’s just like her but Sousou comes in and knocks Teni out and (I assume) exorcises Shibai from her. Before he leaves he tells her not to be consumed by vengeance. The next day Bachou becomes a student at Seito and we end with her going to Nanyo and fighting Hakufu (Panty count: 1030)
Final Thoughts
This season sucks! They all suck but this one in particular sucks more than the others. Why? Because along with having little to no fight scenes (which aren’t really all that good to begin with), poorly executed fanservice and a few other problems from previous seasons it has many plotholes, a poor climax, a story that goes nowhere, character motivation and focus pretty much goes out the window, and a villain that does nothing. The animation is still good like the last season but other than that there’s nothing really all that good about the anime and the music is almost non-existent like I barely noticed the music playing in the scenes and even if I did it probably wouldn’t fit the scene. I will say that Bachou is okay she’s still an idiot but she’s not as dumb as Hakufu as she does show a little more common sense than her but even than she’s kinda underused and not really focused on that much in the season. The villain is weak they do nothing with her whatsoever and the characters are stupid, if they knew the tournament was a setup than why go? Just stay home, play videogames, read books, practice your fighting or find teachers for your high school I don’t know just do something smart and valuable. Don’t end up like Nanban; yeah, that school was an interesting setup in the middle of nowhere with the school looking like something out of an indie Indiana Jones movie, students bald with tribal tattoos and looking like middle-aged men, and there’s only two women at the school who just happen to be their leaders. And the one thing that’s really confusing is how come the students of Nanban didn’t know about a giant tree with a nest of zombies buried beneath their school in the first place? I’m pretty sure that can’t be hard to miss.
Is it better than the other seasons
I think it’s worst out of all the seasons for all the mistakes it has that I listed in my Final Thoughts section. While the first season will probably we seen as the worst by the public I will give that one some credit. It was the first season nobody knew what to expect or how to handle something like that. This season came out in 2010, it had 3 seasons to learn from its mistakes and make a good anime but no they didn’t learn anything. They kept the same mistakes in there and added more mistakes. At that point and in that year it is unacceptable.
Final Score
The final score for Xtreme Xecutor is a 1/10 and adding this score with the scores from the other seasons the average score for the entire series is a 1.25/10 which if you’re going by my system is basically a 1/10. This whole series is an epic failure and the worst anime series I have even seen in my life up to this day. My final advice to you is to stay away from this series all together, it’s not worth your time or attention. Instead, read the novel or look up the actual people on Wikipedia or something to see who they really were because the characters in this series are a poor and awful representation of them. (Shibai): Could have fooled me. Think about it, why create something to be so awful and put it in a medium that everyone loves?
(Nitsuj): To piss me the fuck off of course what else could come out of this anime!? Unless. . . it was meant to piss me off. Create an anime so awful that people would start to think poorly of anime.
(Shibai): There you go. You’re halfway there.
(Nitsuj): You bitch! The whole point of Ikkitousen was to ruin anime in general. I knew it! I knew no matter how perverted Japan was they wouldn’t put up with this shit!
(Shibai): Exactly! Anime has become a popular genre in the years and will continue to grow. So I decided what better way to destroy society than by destroying something they love so much. Create an anime so bad and meaningless that everyone would see the faults of anime and give up on it all together. And with your help I’ll spread this series around the world making everyone see how awful it is and make them give up on anime.
(Nitsuj): You really are a fucking fruit loop! What makes you think I’m gonna endorse something like this to my viewers and friends?
(Shibai): Because if you don’t your little assistant won’t be around for much longer.
(Isis): Forget about me master, you can’t give into this psycho’s evil-

*Chibi Isis splits into 5 clones and attacks the viruses using a mini samurai sword called Outcast*
(Chibi Isis): AI sword style: 5 Star Cyber Slash! *viruses get destroyed and Isis gets freed*
(Isis and Shibai): WHAT!
(Nitsuj): You guys did know she could fight right?
(Shibai): This means nothing, I still have the upper-
*Nitsuj closes the gap between him and Shibai by doing a quick dash*
(Nitsuj): Fist of the Anime Reviewer~! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!
*A series of rapid punches sends Shibai flying in the wall*
(Shibai): UHH~ impossible.
