Hello and welcome to Project Nitsuj. We take our final look at 2024 by ranking anime endings. We got quite the variety of anime endings this year and good songs from animes you least expected. I’m Nitsuj and these are the Top 11 Anime Endings of 2024.
#11. KAMAKURA STYLE from The Elusive Samurai
https://youtu.be/Ufn–7jGWI8?si=MKdpIqSGqr3TBmyn (full)
This ending gives off an amazingly fun and energetic vibe. Given the anime’s subject matter and setting you’d wouldn’t have expected such song for an anime, but it surprisingly works here. Through all the gore and killing, the anime had its fair share of funny and happy moments and this ending brings those moments to the foreground for everyone to enjoy. It’s hard to believe I didn’t care for this song when I first heard it but just like the Elusive Samurai himself, it managed to steal my heart.
#10. Tokyo’s Way from Mashle S2

As much as people talk about and praise the opening, we can’t forget to show love to the ending of the second season. This was just smooth. It sends my mind on a journey where I’m just driving through the city at night to meet up with the guys to own the night all while driving my dream car. The anime’s opening was a banger and it had an ending that was also a banger. This series really can do no wrong in my eyes.
#9. Go-Getters from Suicide Squad Isekai

Shut up and dance! While the anime may not have been the best, it was still better than their Kill the Justice League game and this ending helped make it memorable. It’s catchy as hell, the beat is mesmerizing, it fits the vibe of the squad and it just makes you want to get up and dance. Seriously, I can see them playing this in a club. Whether or not you’re a fan of the Grim Reaper’s music (love ya Calli!) you can’t knock the hustle and the amazing strives she’s made over the years and congratulate her on achieving her dream. Let’s have her do an anime opening next.
#8. Nobody from Kaiju No.8
https://youtu.be/ChukpOHfAI8?si=gv8n5t2SSWsO7HDT (full)
Well, this was unexpected. It’s been awhile since I heard a One Republic song and to think I would hear it in this anime of all places. While different from the official version I’ve heard, I actually prefer the anime version over that one. The lyrics are deep and meaningful, and I like how the song gives off a chill vibe showing us that at the end of the day all these characters are friends deep down and enjoy the company of each other. A very unexpected song for an anime about kaiju but one that I welcome.
#7. Scarlet from Metallic Rouge

I always love it when a song has different layers to it and this song has that in spades. It’s like the ending took three separate songs but combine the best parts of those three songs to make an even greater ending that conveys the emotions of the characters in represents and sends your mind on a journey whenever you close your eyes while listening to it. I didn’t really get into this anime but this ending makes me want to give it another chance. Either way, I need the instrumental to this song now.
#6. Drifters from Synduality: Noir S2
Is it controversial to say Stereo Dive Foundation are my favorite artist when it comes to anime OPs and EDs? Their music goes so well with anime and this song is another example of them killing it. The song is catchy, light-hearted, but at the same time meaningful and deep. This is another anime I didn’t watch but this ending honestly makes me want to check it out just so I can understand the song more.
#5. Ad-lib from Giji Harem
https://youtu.be/GCKkEW0zgTs?si=wlQ6T9Ww9ie45Fih (full)
Love the beginning and the flow of this song. This song perfectly encapsulates our main heroine. Just like she has multiple personalities this song has multiple points and change ups that work so well off each and makes you wonder what’s the real beat of this song? The answer in my opinion is all of them. Just like how humans have multiple personalities so too can songs.
#4. NOX LUX from Re:Zero S3 Part 1
https://youtu.be/0ipVe73stsE?si=hiNCDHBnOHK8VUC4 (full)
Good to hear this group again. This song does a good job capturing the twisted dark nature the archbishops of sins and how the once proud and peaceful city is slowly being corrupted and tainted with their presence. Every episode just felt more in line with the ending and made you question how things could get worse. However, it also has this small light of hope from our heroes. Despite everything that’s happening they’re not going down without a fight.
#3. Honey Citron from Love is Indivisible by Twins
https://youtu.be/R6k1i2-QJ3E?si=MSTAwvm16AM6dJwM (full)
In an anime involving twins it only makes sense to have the ending sung by two women. The two singers work off each other perfectly and their harmony with each other is top notch. The only about the anime there’s no doubt this song is indivisible from it.
#2. TAIDADA from Dandadan
Sometimes you just need to hear an ending that’s fun and epic at the same time. This is one of those openings. I had a legit s,ile on my face whenever I saw this ending. I kept asking myself how does this cat tie-in to the anime and then when they finally reveal who the cat is it just made this ending all the more fun for me. Normally, it’s never a good thing when the ending has the same energy as the opening but for an anime like this it works.
And number one. . .
#1. WaYaWaYaWa-! from Hokkaido gals are super adorable
https://youtu.be/3m_TOALM1cw?si=wvF29E7A7i6Y8sx1 (full)
Come and get your love! From the moment I heard this song I had declared in my head that this was it. This is the anime ending of the year for me. It really is a shame people skipped out on this anime. Not did it have a good opening but it had a great ending as well that captures the feelings of our female casts and their feelings for the MC. While it’s not the feelings of love (yet) there’s no denying that he is important in their lives and they care about him.
And that’s my list. What was your favorite ending of 2024? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you next time on Project Nitsuj.
