Hello. Justin here and welcome to the Otaku Mind. Most of you might remember a few months ago I made a list naming my top 11 Hololive Girls. It was a hit and everyone liked it, but many of you were shocked to see that I left so many names off. So, how about another list? Like I said before I like all the girls in Hololive and over the course of these few months a lot has happened and I’ve made an effort to check out more of their channels and content as well as the girls themselves I didn’t watch all that much in the past. I’m Justin and these are the next Top 11 Hololive Girls.
#11. IRyS

We start off with the newest member at the writing of this blog, IRyS. Making her debut just over a month ago, IRyS is the first VSinger of the Hololive EN branch. A half angel half demon who descended upon the world to deliver hope with her voice and singing just like she did in the past. Just like the other EN girls IRyS has quickly taken off and amassed a strong fandom gaining over 500,000 subscribers within her first week and winning people over with her sweet and optimistic personality. There’s not much to say about her because she’s only been around for a short time, but in the time that we’ve seen her she’s been great and I look forward to seeing her grow in the future.
#10. A-chan
As much as we praise the talent of Hololive we should also praise the unseen talent of the staff and managers who work behind the scenes. One of the first managers we were introduced to was A-chan, the talent director of the group and for a time was even the manager of some of the girls. So far she’s been the only member of management to be given an avatar and has appeared here and there in collaborations with the girls as well as done her own streams having fun and promoting others. Despite not being an official talent and people demanding it, A-chan is content with working behind the scenes and supporting everyone. She’s shown a great understanding of technology as she was the technician for Sora back in the day, is also a very talented DJ, and is an integral part of Hololive who is loved and respected by everyone. Next to Yagoo, she may just be the most important person in Hololive. She’s the Kotori Otonashi of the group who works behind the scenes but is also a very talented individual and someone we always look forward to seeing whenever she pops up.

Just this past month Coco retired from Hololive making her the first one to willingly graduate from the group. Many tears were shed at her departure and her legacy will not be forgotten. If there’s anything good to come out of Coco’s retirement it was that it shined the spotlight on the 4th generation members and showed just how close these girls are behind the scenes. One of the people that got my attention was everyone’s favorite sheep, Watame. The cute and fluffy Watame creates a pleasant experience whenever she streams and manages to get a good laugh out of me whenever I watch her. She is the master of facial expressions in Hololive having some of the most hilarious faces of the group. A very enjoyable sheep to watch who always brightens up your day and makes you hungry.

Another member of the 4th gen who I’ve taken a lot more interest in. A devil aiming to become an archdemon, Towa became a streamer as a way to study humans and communicate with them. She has one of the most powerful voices in Hololive and similar to Watame provides a wholesome and relaxing stream. Still, don’t let her devilish looks and behavior fool you. Despite being a devil, Towa’s personality is like that of an angel. She’s unbelievably sweet, kind-hearted, down to earth, doesn’t like horror games, and even though she claims to hate angels she’s good friends with Kanata. One of the things that makes Towa stand out from the others is that she serves as the straight man (or devil) to a lot of the other girls resulting in some funny reactions not just from her but from everyone she’s with. She’s a failure as a devil, but as an idol and streamer she’s a success in my book. Also, love that ending BGM.

Ahhoooy~! Everyone’s favorite horny pirate has arrived. Easily one of the more outgoing of the girls and undercover troublemaker. She’s one of the lewdest members in Hololive often flirting and making sexual advances at other girls and occasionally engaging in lewd talks which are always amusing. She’s like that one girl friend you have who you don’t have to be careful around, say what’s on your mind, and get a good laugh from it. She can be a rather eccentric person at times and flops from sweet and cute girl to a screaming mess depending on the situation she finds herself in. Still, Marine is that one friend you can always count on to have your back and always look out for you because she values her friends and those around her.

Comedian, idol, crazy rabbit, war criminal. Whatever you want to call her, Pekora is entertainment incarnated. While on camera Pekora displays a bratty smug character who enjoys playing pranks on others as well as her friends all in the name of fun. To the point that everyone is suspicious of something whenever she’s involved. However, outside of the camera she’s actually quite the shy and polite person according to the other girls who have met her in real life. One of the unique things about Pekora is her distinct laugh that makes her stand out from everyone. She’s also shown to be the most creative of the girls when it comes to Minecraft. If you watch any of the Minecraft streams you’ll see that a lot of the more impressive buildings and sites were created by Pekora. In fact, she even built her own amusement park with rides and everything in the server. Next to Coco this was the biggest troublemaker in Hololive and now that she’s gone there’s no telling what kind of mischief this rabbit will get herself and others into. All we know is that she’s going to be laughing at our expense.
#5. Sakura Miko

Very few people can become idols and only one person has the pleasure of calling herself the elite idol, Miko. One of the original Hololive girls, Miko made a name for herself as being the idol was doesn’t take herself too seriously and one of the first to break the mold of the pure idol and have fun. Every time she plays a game she chooses not to take the game seriously and often chooses the funniest and most insane actions for her enjoyment. She’s a huge fan of the GTA series, even getting autographs from some of the VAs on her birthday and her screams are some of the funniest screams I’ve ever heard. Seriously, her Minecraft streams where she accidently burnt her house down twice are hilarious. If I had to name my favorite thing about Miko it would be her relationship with Korone. She was one of the people who helped Korone come out of her shell and the two would go on to establish the Elite Friendship. If it wasn’t for Miko, I don’t think we ever would have gotten the Korone we see today.

One of the feel good stories from Hololive over the last year is the rise of the 5th generation. Not only was one of the members forced to retire shortly after debuting due to mental and physical health, but Hololive EN made their debut about a month after them where EN just completely stole all of their momentum and would go on to get over 7 million subscribers total in less than a year. Despite these issues, the 5th gen banded together and managed to slowly work their way up and build their fanbases. The first one to catch my eye was the super exciting idol Nene. A cute ball of energy, Nene reportedly applied to Hololive 4 times before they finally accepted her application and boy was it a good find. She’s a little clumsy and overconfident at times, but she’s got the right attitude, motivation and never gives up. Thanks to the Nene seal memes, Nene quickly gained a following in the west and the rest of Hololive as well as her have easily embraced the memes showing she has a good sense of humor. She’s also one of the few members who openly admits to having a harem and refuses to accept a relationship that isn’t romantic. She’s a cute bear or seal bursting with energy and always puts a smile on my face. Mata nene~!
#3. Shirakami Fubuki

A member of Hololive’s first generation and the founder of Hololive Gamers. Just like Coco, Fubuki was one of the first girls to introduce westerners to Hololive and for the longest time she was the closest to getting 1 million subscribers first. A cute artic fox whose personality can best be described as cheerful, charming, and cunning. She has the perfect balance of being cute and calm but also ruthless and cunning just like a real fox. I think my favorite moment from her is during one of the Among Us collaborations where she and Marine accuse each other, and it devolves into one of the funniest arguments I’ve ever seen from Hololive. Like I said before she’s the founder of Hololive Gamers so it’s thanks to her that we were able to get Mio, Okayu and Korone as she was the one who scouted them and invited them to Hololive. Hololive Gamers was a huge turning point for the company as it would allow future and current generations to start streaming video games and we all owe it to Fubuki. She won’t be your wife, but she’s more than happy to be your friend.

A fan favorite and one of the most inspirational and optimistic girls in Hololive. Tomboyish and an extrovert, Subaru always has an optimistic personality even in situations that most would find discouraging which really makes her an inspiring person especially after what she’s been through. The fact that Subaru has gotten to where she is today is nothing short of a miracle. She was born with a hole in her heart which threatened to kill her by the time was 14, got ran over by a car, and even survived her house being burnt down. Good God, and you thought your life was tough. Often called a duck by her fans and having a distinct voice that separates her from the others, Subaru quickly managed to stand out and was one of the girls the westerners quickly liked. Even though she was tomboyish she could be feminine and cute just like a normal girl. Just like Towa, Subaru plays the straight man (or duck) to the antics of the others and often being the butt of many jokes yet she still manages to smile because she’s enjoying herself. She’s led a life of hardship and is just happy being alive and having fun with everyone. Subaru serves as an example that no matter how bad life can get as long as you maintain a positive outlook and keep your head up you’ll be able to smile.

I love this lioness. I started checking her out at the beginning of the year, but really started checking her out around the springtime where she quickly became one of my favorite girls from Hololive. A member of the 5th gen and according to many the smartest member of Hololive as it’s reported that one of her hobbies is building PCs and her setup is reportedly the most advanced out of all the girls. Botan’s personality is very laidback, calm, and cheerful as she’s always smiling and finding something to laugh at for her amusement. She primarily plays FPS games which she’s a pro at and even when the games get hectic or chaotic she never panics maintaining that laidback personality and not really being phased by anything such as jumpscares. My favorite moment of her is when she’s playing Resident Evil and when a werewolf jumps out of nowhere she just headshots the bastard instantly and then goes outside to finish the job before reacting to it. That’s so funny and badass. Often seen as the leader of the 5th gen, Botan shows a great amount of love and care for her fellow genmates but also enjoys messing with them as well as her senpais. She also has a pretty fast growing fanbase particularly in Russia as she spoke a little Russian on her stream once and she exploded over there. Finally, she’s just plain cute. Despite having a mature big sis appearance and personality, Botan has shown that she can be a cute little kouhai who wants to be loved and spoiled by her senpais and get their attention. She’s an apex predator, the lioness, sponsored by Adidas, and is my pick for the best Hololive girl.
