Project #326: Attack on Titan S3 Part 1

Hello and welcome to Project Nitsuj. Well as you all know Attack on Titan is set to return next month so you know who is excited.

(Isis): Heck yeah! Let’s do this thing!

(Nitsuj): And of course this means we want to review it to get ourselves and everyone else excited for the next season. As well as remind everyone what happened.

(Isis): Released in 2018 under the production of Wit Studios. Attack on Titan S3 continues the story of humanity fighting against the titans. While the second season wasn’t awful, many people were upset with the season being shorter than the first season and not having as much action as the first season. Character development and world building? Who wants that? Give me more action.

(Nitsuj): Finally, someone who gets it.

(Isis): Shut up. Anyway, while season 2 may not have been big on action it did present a lot of shocking moments and made each character feel important and expanded on them.

(Nitsuj): Did the third season continue this trend, give the fans the gore they wanted, or did it manage to meet everyone in the middle? Let’s find out. This is our review of Attack on Titan S3.

Opening and Ending Theme

(Isis): The opening for this season is “Red Swan” by YOSHIKI ft. HYDE. Out of all the openings we’ve heard so far, this one is definitely the strangest of the bunch. It’s not loud, intense, or exciting. It’s soft, subtle, and emotional. Throughout the song it seems like everyone is reminiscing about their past and looking back on it. They’re remembering the good times they had, remembering what’s dear to them, but also not forgetting why they’re here and what they’re fighting for. The song is also good and was one of my favorite openings from 2018. Unlike someone I know.

(Nitsuj): The ending is Akatsuki no Requiem by Linked Horizon. This was a song that came close to making my list for top 11 endings and looking back I do regret not putting it on the list. I love how the song starts off with this slow and childlike innocence. Like a child’s fairytale. But as the song progresses it becomes louder and sounds epic like something out of a rock opera. In a way, the song perfectly describes the characters of the series. At one point they all had this childlike innocence to them but as they got older they start to see how cruel the world is and must now fight to survive in it. It’s definitely a good song and it’s definitely become my second favorite ending from the series.

Episodes 1-4

(Nitsuj): The new season starts us off in a cabin where Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Sasha, Connie, and Krista (Isis: Historia. (Nitsuj): Yeah, yeah, Historia) have been assigned as the newest members of the Levi Squad (they may not be strongest yet but they’re the most important). They’re out there to see if Eren can harden his body so that they can use him to plug up the hole in wall Maria (Isis: It’s a good plan strategically. Get Eren to the wall, have him plug it up, kill all remaining titans, humanity retakes their land. Score one for humanity) but the experiment isn’t really going all that well (scene here: https://youtu.be/HdhdYJyOtKw). While out there we get a little inside knowledge about Historia such as how she’s the illegitimate child of some lord named Reiss where her upbringing was anything but pleasant. Back in the Trost district, Pastor Nick has been murdered and by the Military Police no less (he hath toldeth too much. (Isis): I find it amusing that despite humanity on the brink of extinction, there’s still corruption in the air). Hange easily figures out that it was the Military Police who killed him and tells Levi and others about this just as they receive a letter from Erwin telling them that the Military Police are coming for them. Under new orders from the government Scout activity outside the wall has ceased and they want the Scouts to hand over Eren and Historia. They manage to escape the cabin just in time before the Military Police show up and split up into two teams. Hange will go and see Erwin who’s been arrested while Levi and his squad will sneak into Trost and go to Pixis for help. They manage to get into Trost easily where they use Jeanne and Armin as doubles for Eren and Historia (Armin pulls the look off way too well). Jeanne and Armin get kidnapped by some amateurs but get rescued by Mikasa, Connie, and Sasha. As for Eren and Historia the two are making their way through Trost in a carriage which is being watched over by Levi and some other scouts who get attacked from behind by a guy named Kenny the Ripper (Isis: The second coming of Jack the Ripper) a mass murderer who killed 100 Military officers and was the one who raised Levi when he was a kid.

Episode 2 starts off on a cool note as Levi takes on Kenny and his men. He’s outnumbered and outgun so he has no choice but to run which results in some pretty impressive use of the ODM gear (which is always welcomed in my book). Levi gets cornered in a bar where he uses the owner’s gun to hit Kenny and escape all while killing 3 officers in the process. Eren and Historia get tranquilized and captured (again. Society’s last hope my ass) with Levi and the others after the wagon. Jean manages to make it onto the wagon with Armin where he has the officer pinned down but can’t bring himself to kill her (Isis: Killing titans is one thing. Taking the life of another human being is something entirely different). His moment of hesitation causes the officer to get the upper and just when he’s about to die the officer gets shot in the back and dies courtesy of Armin (holy shit, the one man who hasn’t killed a titan yet is the one who kills a human first. That’s some good writing there). The wagon soon falls under the control of the officers and they escape (scene here: https://youtu.be/b7HrSP1lyZM) but Levi and the others aren’t ready to give up as they find Reeves the man who gave them the wagon, get him to change sides, and then they capture some Military Officers to torture for information on where Eren and Historia are and Arwin deals has a hard time getting over the fact that he killed another human. After ripping all the nails off an officer’s fingers (scene here: https://youtu.be/DguDO9NRXBY) and tricking him, we discover that Historia is royalty and the next successor in line to take the throne.

Episode 3 starts off with Historia talking about her childhood. She lived on a farm in the Reiss territory with her mom who did no work and just read all day (Isis: What a boring life. (Nitsuj): All books and no internet make people go crazy). At night, the mom would get taken away in a carriage only to return the next day (oh God, she’s a whore). When Historia learned to read she picked up one of her mom’s books which showed a mother caring for a child and it was then that Historia realized that not once in her life did she and mother embrace each other. The next day, Historia decides to hug her mom to see what would happen and the results were anything but good. Historia’s mom literally panicked and threw Historia off her (Isis: For someone who reads all day she’s quite strong) all while wishing she had the courage to kill Historia. After this the mom disappeared on her and was never seen again. A few days after the fall of Wall Maria, Historia finally got to meet her father, Rod Reiss. He wants her to come live with her and her mom but Kenny and his men stop him. They kill the mom who even on her death stab wishes she never gave birth to Historia (mom of the year folks) and are about to kill Historia until Rod proposes a different idea. Have her live her life as a common girl (Isis: And just hope that she’ll be eaten by titans. Scene here: https://youtu.be/uLl6W-PNlnA). We return to the present where Eren is tied up and Historia is reunited with Rod after all these years (smack him). Back on Hange and Levi’s side they figure out Eren is going to be feed to another titan in order for that titan to get his powers to control other titans. Apparently, titans can gain the powers of other titans by eating said titan (so they’re basically giant Kirbys? No wonder they eat so much). They move out and head towards the Reiss territory while Hange goes to Erwin about what they discovered. We then cut to Erwin who is talking with Pixis where he says that they’re going to overthrow the government in order to take back Wall Maria (Isis: Yes! Viva la revolution. Down with the establishment of the Man! (Nitsuj): You’re getting way too into this). Their plan is to have Historia retake the crown from the fake king and become the Queen of Humanity (oh yeah, and I’m sure everyone’s going to go along with this change in the government). Hange arrives and tells Erwin what they’ve learned where he says his gamble was right on the money and Pixis agrees to back them up. After that, the body of Reeves is found and the Military Officers pin the blame on Erwin. Erwin gets arrested as does the other Scouts except for the new Levi squad and Hange who is now the commander of the Scouts.

(Isis): In episode 4 Hange manages to find and rescue Flegel the son of Reeves who saw his father get killed by the Military Police (the Military Police were trying to kill him to shut him up). He’s all but ready to give up until Hange tells him to man up (Nitsuj: Get your thumb out of mouth and grow a pair. Your dad’s not around to wipe your ass for ya anymore. Be a man and avenge him). Hange manages to get him on their side where he leads the Military Police to a destroyed part of the city where they stupidly tell him that they killed his father because he knew too much. Even if he refused to help him he still would have been killed by the government for knowing too much. Hange and another scout come in to save him and it turns out this deserted district is still full of people who heard everything and are now on the side of the Scouts (scene here: https://youtu.be/qTxVhXJCGME, and the revolution grows ever stronger). Back with the Levi squad, they capture two young Military Officers named Marlo and Hitch (odd name for a girl. (Nitsuj): It’s foreign. (Isis): That, or they wanted to hitch her off to a guy as soon as possible) with Hitch blaming them for what happened at the end of season 1 (it was technically their fault) but when they tell her that Annie was the titan they fought, her mouth soon shuts up (Nitsuj: Good. Normally I don’t hit girls, but I will smack a bitch to shut her up). Marlo realizing that the Scouts are in the right wants to join them, but Levi says no because he can’t trust them. Jean gives them a test by attempting to kill Marlo to see if he’ll stick to his guns and join them which he does and let into the loop (Nitsuj: Welcome to the Scouts. Enjoy a lifetime of trauma). Marlo and Hitch lead them to a small encampment of Military Officers and then head back to their squad to avoid suspicion. The Levi squad take everyone out and capture the guy in charge for questioning where he doesn’t know much. Back with Erwin, he gets interrogated and tortured before going before the king where his sentence will be decided (it’ll most likely be death).

Episodes 5-8

The first part of episode 5 is quite intense. It starts with Erwin getting the death penalty from the king’s council for his crimes and actions (called it) but just before he can be sent to the gallows a soldier comes in to report that titans have breached wall Rose (Nitsuj: We’re screwed. Two walls have been lost and there’s no way in hell Sina can hold everyone). The king’s council order that the soldiers close the gates to wall Sina and leave the people in wall Rose to die at the hands of the titans as letting them in could possibly lead to an all-out civil war for survival. Even the Interior Officers who are there question this decision and refuse to follow this order (soldiers are more likely to follow their commanding officer than government officials). Zachary comes in to reveal that the titan attack was just a false alarm and that this was all a part of their coup to see if they cared about humanity or their own lives (Nitsuj: And they failed hard. Scene here: https://youtu.be/tSEz3yYXQoA). The king and his council get arrested, the Scouts are freed and proven innocent, and a new government will be set up with a member of the real royal family taking charge (well they cut it close there. (Nitsuj): I cut it closer). The only thing left to do now is find Eren before he gets eaten by a titan and Hange thinks she knows where Eren is, a church, where the Reiss family was massacred by bandits except Rod. After his family was massacred Rod soon rebuild the place (Nitsuj: Why?) and then went to get Historia (Nitsuj: Where that planned backfired and she wounded up in the Scouts). We cut to Eren chained up, gagged and shirtless in some weird underground crystalized location (scene here: https://youtu.be/vfI85hy_gEI. (Nitsuj): Why do I get the feeling I’m reading someone’s fanfic? (Isis): Who told you!? I mean yeah this is totally someone else’s fanfic. What disturbed beings).

In episode 6 Historia appears with Rod where they touch the back of Eren (so jealous) and we see that Eren was the one who actually killed his dad Grisha. When Grisha injected Eren with the titan serum as a child, he went berserk, transformed into an incomplete titan, and then killed Grisha (scene here: https://youtu.be/XGRNJuhPlxA). Why doesn’t he remember it? Well it might have something to do with the Reiss family as they have the ability to erase the memories of people just like Historia’s half sister used to do when she was little (Nitsuj: This is some crazy shit). When Historia was a child, her half sister would come and visit her but as soon as they were done playing, she would erase Historia’s memories as a means to protect her. If that wasn’t crazy enough, it turns out she was the one who had the power to control the titans until it got stolen by Grisha who turned into a titan himself, killed her, ate her to gain her power, and then killed the rest of the Reiss family with Rod being the only surviving member (Nitsuj: Well isn’t that convenient. Scene here: https://youtu.be/Td2Z2PclUWk). If you think that’s crazy wait till you hear about Mikasa’s family. It turns out she, Levi, and Kenny are all cousins from their dad’s side of the family (Nitsuj: She inherited her mom’s beauty and father’s badassery. Nice to know where the gene pool fits in to all of this). In the past, the Ackermans were actually the loyal swords of the king who had the ability to call upon amazing strength in times of need. But the Reiss family were afraid of them as they couldn’t control them. For some unknown reason their memory erasing power didn’t affect them at all and when the Reiss started using their power to control the people the two bloodlines that turned their back on the royal family were the Ackermans and the Orientals (aka Mikasa’s mom side of the family). As you would imagine the royals didn’t like having families they couldn’t control on the loose so they began hunting them down where Mikasa’s parents met underground, one thing led to another (Nitsuj: The next thing Mikasa’s dad knew she was loving him long time), and a few months later Mikasa was born (by God the rabbit hole goes deep in this series). Levi’s squad makes it outside the church where they find the secret door leading to the crystal basement and know that Kenny and his men are inside waiting to ambush while Rod performs a ritual on Eren. But despite Kenny helping out Rod the question is, is he on Rod’s side or does he have his own agenda?

Episode 7 starts off on a good fight between Levi’s squad and Kenny’s squad (Nitsuj: The battle of the badasses begins). Levi’s squad uses gun powders to create smoke which covers the area and they attack Kenny’s squad with sneak attacks killing a good number of them and everything (it’s actually a good and clever strategy to evade their guns and get close to the enemies where they have the advantage). Hange unfortunately gets hit hard as Kenny and the others retreat for the time (scene here: https://youtu.be/mj_S6SkprOU). Back with Historia and Ross we see Ross trying to convince Historia to take the titan syrum and transform into a titan so she can eat Eren and reclaim the power their family loss. Not only will this give Historia the power to control titans, but she’ll also have gain the knowledge of the world all the way from back to the beginning thanks to her bloodline. This puts a wrench in Kenny’s plan as all this time he was planning on eating Eren and gaining his powers but if it’s impossible for him to use the founding titan’s blood to it’s full potential than what’s the point of eating Eren (the answer, for giggles). While Kenny’s plan may be done, he refuses to let it go down unfairly and wants to give Eren a fighting chance which he doesn’t want to do (scene here: https://youtu.be/rVxykmRci8o). Eren pretty much begs Historia to eat him realizing that if she does they can defeat the titans once and for all (yes, but than who’s going to save us from Mikasa’s rage? Need I remind you that the only thing stopping Mikasa from killing everyone is you Eren. So you man up and kill all the titans like you swore to do when you were a rage-filled child). Ross tries to inject Historia with the titan serum but she swats it away questioning why her family didn’t stop the titans before if they had this power and the answer she comes to is they want to keep ruling. Historia rebels against her father and goes to free Eren much to his displeasure (Nitsuj: Shut up you big baby and start killing titans) and Ross licks up the titan serum to turn himself into a titan so that he can eat Eren (scene here: https://youtu.be/8rooYdWXD3M).

In episode 8 Rod begins to transform into a titan while Levi and the others manage to reach Eren and unchain him (and now the dream is over. (Nitsuj): What was that Isis? (Isis): Nothing) and then he begins to whine again about how he should die (Nitsuj: Oh my God you were so much more tolerable in the first season. Seriously, where the hell did your balls go?). Rod continues to grow and is about to cause a cave-in as the others tell Eren in the nicest of ways possible to get over it (personally, I would have just pistol whipped him and told him to man up). He grabs a bottle and does the titan hardening to protect everyone and save their lives from the cave-in (scenes here: https://youtu.be/qUsBGL79Db0 and https://youtu.be/1Yggqau5P-Y). As for Rod, he has become a gigantic titan twice the size of the Colossal titan and his body is so overheated that nobody can get close to him (Nitsuj: He can’t even stand. His body is literally so big that his legs can’t support him). Levi’s squad dig Eren out of the hardened titan and head to the district that Rod is heading to . On the ride there, Historia tells Eren that it’s a good thing his dad made him the Founding titan as the Reiss family is led by the will of the first king who wants humanity to be subjected by the titans in live in fear of them (if this is his idea of peace, I shutter to think what his idea of war is. Scene here: https://youtu.be/y8f2K1WXD8A). Even if Eren allowed himself to get eaten by Rod, Rod would just change the memories of everyone and keep humanity in this hell (Nitsuj: So in other words, you acting like a crybaby was totally pointless). So with all that said, Eren is to stay alive and the plan to plug up the hole in Wall Maria using his hardening is still on along with reaching the basement of his destroyed home to find out what his dad was hiding from him is also on (Nitsuj: Now shut up, grow a pair, and start kicking ass). That just leaves us with what to do with Rod. He’s too big to contain and there’s no way he’ll help them down the line which means their only course of action is to kill him and Historia agrees with their decision. Once they reach the district, Levi tells Historia that she’ll assume the role of queen which she’s okay with doing but before she assumes the throne, she wants to take part in the mission to kill her father.

Episodes 9-13

(Nitsuj): Episode 9 goes by surprisingly fast. You would expect the fight with Rod to last 2 episodes but nope, it all ends in this episode. As Rod makes his way to the wall, the military hits him with cannon fire which has little to no effect on him (Isis: They might as well just throw rocks at him. Scene here: https://youtu.be/gZb3Egs5Kpo). Since the cannon fire won’t stop him, they now place everything on a gamble which is throwing all of their gunpowder down his throat which will destroy his body (makes sense, his body is basically one giant overheated powder keg). The gamble is whether or not his mouth is open (if is they win. (Isis): If not, they’re screwed). Rod finally makes it to the wall where he uses it to stand and we see that his face has been torn off and his guts are spilling out from all of that dragging (Isis: Gross! (Nitsuj): That is the stuff of nightmares). The good news is his mouth is open and Eren transforms into a titan and tosses a giant net full of gun powder barrels into his mouth which causes Rod’s body to explode and chunks of his body fly into the city as the remaining scouts cut them up and Historia lands the finishing blow on her dear dad to end his short reign (scene here: https://youtu.be/TRQDXVwokTs. God save the Queen). As the episode draws to an end, we see Kenny survived Rod’s transformation but is slowly bleeding out in a field. He gets discovered by Levi where we see he has the titan serum on him.

In episode 10 we start off with Kenny’s backstory (It all began in a town called South Park located in Colorado. A redneck town, filled with humble people and- (Isis): Not that Kenny. (Nitsuj): Oh right. Sorry). Kenny’s story began when he discovered Rod and his brother Uri the true royal family of humanity. Rather than kill Kenny, Uri spared his life and Kenny moved by his power, offered his service to Uri. Kenny rose through the ranks quickly, becoming one of Uri’s most trusted and loyalist followers. One day, when he returned to the underground to check in on his sister, he finds out that she died and the only thing she left behind was her son Levi (little did she know, she gave birth to one of the most badass characters of all time). Kenny wasn’t heartless to leave a child alone, but he wasn’t generous to take on the role of parenting either, so he taught Levi how to survive underground (Isis: Use a knife, how to fight, and do negotiations. The simple stuff) and left it up for him to decide if he wanted to go to the surface (scene here: https://youtu.be/_p-uck9GZDI). Uri was soon eaten by Rod’s daughter and his power and ideas resided in her so Kenny stayed true to the Reiss family and continued to follow them slowly building up his own army in an attempt to gain the same power that Uri had (a dream he never saw came true). Returning back to the present, Kenny doesn’t have the power to inject himself with the titan serum and as Levi tries to get answers out of him about the original king wanting humanity to fall to the titans (Isis: Questions not even Kenny knows the answers to) he finally dies (scene here: https://youtu.be/R4PnjuUqlMs). After this, Historia takes her rightful place as queen of humanity and she punches Levi (she’s the queen she can do whatever she wants. Scene here: https://youtu.be/rOF-tDyznW4).

In episode 11, 2 months have passed since Historia’s coronation. Advancements have been made in society as people who were forced to live underground have been bought back up to the surface to live. In the fight against the titans, Eren has all but mastered his hardening powers and they used it to create a new weapon structure to combat the titans and will soon be making plans to take back Wall Maria (scenes here: https://youtu.be/0E2cqpVUNzc and https://youtu.be/Qvd2YXgAQnQ). Yet, despite all of this, Eren continues to act emo (seriously, what happened to the badass who vowed to kill every titan?) and has trouble trying to remember a scout who was apparently with him and his dad before Eren first transformed into a titan and ate his dad. After much thinking, Eren finally remembers who the man is, Sadias the drill instructor. Eren and a few others return to the training fields to interrogate Sadias for information where he really can’t tell them anything about the current situation (Isis: He’s in the dark like them) but he can tell them his story as a bystander. It all happened 20 years ago with Sadias was a part of the Scouts (Isis: And actually had hair on his head). When outside the wall he found Grisha who had no memory of his life or the world other than his name and occupation. Sadias and Grisha became friends with Sadias looking out for him and helping him adjust to the world. As time went on Sadias became commander of the Scouts and tried to establish bases outside the wall while Grisha married Eren’s mom, Carla (Isis: Which might have angered Sadias as he also had a thing for her). After many failed attempts at trying to establish bases outside the wall, Sadias handed control over to Erwin as he realized he wasn’t special like Grisha was. After the fall of Wall Maria, Sadias met back up with Grisha where they found Eren and Grisha took him up into the mountains to turn him into a titan. Sadias tried to talk Grisha out of it but he wouldn’t listen. After Eren’s transformation, he carried Eren back to the shelter and left only to have him appear before him years later as a young recruit trying to kill titans. Sadias finishes his story by telling Eren the words he received from Carla about being special. It doesn’t matter, whether you have special talents or perceived to be special by the world it doesn’t matter because in the end you were born into this world (Isis: A world that is very merciless) and that alone makes you special. After hearing all of this they take their leave with Eren slightly satisfied and we also see how Sadias actually tried to set Eren up for failure during training only to see Eren not give up and continue to press forward.

(Isis): In the final episode of the season (Nitsuj: These short seasons are becoming a real pain in the ass), it’s the night before the battle to retake Wall Maria and everyone prepares for it. We see that Levi is given the titan serum leaving it up to him to decide when and where to use it (could you imagine this guy becoming a titan? (Nitsuj): I have, and I had to go to the hospital to get my boner checked out). We also see Levi try to get Erwin to stay behind (since he’s a wounded soldier and everything) even going as far as threatening to break his legs but Erwin insists on seeing this through to the end even if he is dead weight should a fight break out. The Scouts get treated to a nice meal that night which is meat (Nitsuj: So funny moment? (Isis): Funny moment. Scenes here: https://youtu.be/WQSWX2m60zU and https://youtu.be/a-UV7YV4dyQ) and we get a peaceful moment of Eren, Mikasa, and Arwin talking to each other. The next day comes around where the people cheer for them and they head out to retake the wall (scene here: https://youtu.be/nsrGP87J7Sk). We end the anime with a teaser during the credits which shows a blood soaked Levi punching Eren and Mikasa attacking in retaliation with the intent to kill him (scene here: https://youtu.be/qvY-XjALgbE, this has been a long time coming).

Final Thoughts

(Nitsuj): Much like the last season, this season focuses more on the story and characters then the action. Only this time it’s done way better and is more interesting to watch. All the secrets that they talked about in the previous season have come to light and all of it was both intriguing, shocking, and still leaves you asking questions on what’s going to happen next.

(Isis): The character development was also on point this season as we got to see the development of Historia who goes from being a pretty side character to one of the most important characters in the series. Her backstory is sad and each choice she makes is difficult and carries consequences that will affect all of humanity, but she sticks by them and keeps moving forward believing that what she’s doing is right and will bring humanity closer to victory. The side story with Jeanne being hesitant to kill other people was well done. It’s hard to think badly of Jeanne here when you really view things from his perspective. Killing a titan only brings humanity closer to victory but killing another human only brings humanity closer to extinction. It’s a choice that Jeanne doesn’t want to make but, in the end, has to make it in order to save humanity. No matter how painful his choice is. The best character development has to go to Levi as we learn more about his past and see that he had somewhat of a father figure in his life. Even though he doesn’t show it, Levi does have a sense of respect for Kenny and Kenny has a sense of respect for Levi as the two both lost someone dear to them. However, the low point of this season has to be the fact that Eren has zero development and continues to regress as a character. What was once a good character who had a goal, drive, and determination has now become a wuss who cries all the time about pointless things and circumstances outside of his control. While Mikasa and Armin don’t get much development, you can tell they’re determined to do whatever it takes to win and have grown stronger because of it. Eren, on the other hand just continues to become a somewhat disappointing character. But other than that, I have no complaints with this season.

(Nitsuj): Yeah me neither. The soundtrack was great, the animation was spectacular. That ODM gear scene from the second episode is easily my favorite scene of the season and hands down some of the best animation I’ve seen from Wit. While the season may not be big on fight scenes, the strategies behind them are great and the fights themselves are fun to watch. I especially like how they executed the coup. That move was brilliant and avoided all casualties from happening. The fights between Kenny’s squad and the Scouts were cool and the way they defeated Rod was also clever and shows that no titan is invincible. While it’s true I would have liked to see more action and a longer season, I think they made the right choice setting aside two seasons to focus on the story, the world and the characters within it to make it more flushed out and show us that there’s more to this war than meets the eye and that there are still secrets yet to be discovered.

Final Score

(Isis): My final score for this season is a 9/10. With an Isis seal of approval.

(Nitsuj): I’m giving this season an 8/10. The minus one point comes from Eren as like you said before has become a disappointing character but I’m still holding out hope that he can turn himself around. This brings the final score for season 3 of Attack of Titan to an 8.5/10 and we’re giving it a must watch stamp of approval.

(Isis): This season was executed way better than the second season and I can’t wait for what happens next.

(Nitsuj): Me too. That teaser at the end has already got me excited for what’s to come. Thanks for reading and we’ll see you next time on Project Nitsuj.
