(Morrison): Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Lightning, Steel, Light, and Darkness. These are the eight elements that make up Rein as well as the galaxy. The elements also represent the gods we worship. The first is Zekell the God of Fire. Midori, the Goddess of Earth. Azure, the God of Water. Caelestis, the God of Wind. Thora, the Goddess of Lightning. Gojo, the God of Steel. Faven, the Goddess of Light. Finally, DeMarcus, the God of Darkness. Each of the gods contributed in the creation of our world. Faven gave us the sun to light the day. DeMarcus gave us the moon and stars we see at night. Zekell gave people fire to keep them warm. Midori created the lands and forests. Azure created the oceans for sea life to live in. Caelestis and Thora created the winds and electricity which we could use as an energy source and Gojo gave us the tools we needed to build houses and survive.
After the world was completed, the gods ascended to a higher plane of existence, where they watch over us. Said to only interact with the world on the most extreme situations. There have been a few accounts in history where people swore they saw the gods walk among them but no evidence could be shown to back up their accounts. However, this hasn’t stopped religious groups from forming that center around the gods throughout the world. Each is dedicated to a god and has their own followers. The good news is the religious groups maintain a fair and peaceful relationship with each other. No one forces their beliefs on the other and each one encourages the people to check out the other groups in the hopes of learning more about them and develop an understanding of their beliefs and practices. They even have a yearly summit where their leaders gather to talk.
